First: Roid rage is not something proven. There's hasn't been too many studies on steroids because casual use is illegal among other reasons

Two: Just because someone is "bodybuilder", swole or huge doesn't mean they can't be agile, quick ect.

Great point: Gymnasts are very muscular

Looks like Two-Face got his hands on Bain's venom. Check out the cover for Catwoman #2, looks like she's getting some action

I think they're tired of bad ones such as FF4, Ghost Rider and apparently Green Lantern. I think due to the sucess of Iron Man. Producers as well as movie viewers are expecting that kind of "quality" and sucess. It's a big let down when it's not.

Then the script and characters that are chosen for said films. Characters that may seem obsure might keep potential viewers away. I spoke with a coworker about Green Lantern. She said she would refused to go because the Green Lantern character/idea seemed retarded. A space cop that makes green colored stuff from his ring blah blah.... As for the script it can only stick to it's source material so much. If it deviates too much such as X-men First Class it could alienate comic industry niche fan base

@Joelislegend
Granted I'd say I would wait till the price drops but depending on the series I'd buy it full price. I used to have an online subscription ever time I'd go on here. Everyone would be talking about a particular issue I have coming in the mail. I'd usually go out to my lcs and get a copy.

 This is a new thing for printed companies to try out. DC is probably testing the waters while trying to maintain profits. I doubt I'll pay for a digital comic for full price (2.99) probably wait till the price drops

Comics are just as enjoyable as novels. In the past, I've had teachers complain that I'm not reading a novel or something "my age". MY argument was at least I'm reading.  Grant Morrison can be a little crazy but I love seeing how he connected 1960's Batman with current issues. With the advent of Ipad, the web and electronic readers the printed page is hurting. I have to admit I'm probably going to switch to the digital format because I moved into a small apartment. I can afford the room that my printed comics take up and that I continuously add to.

Since moving I've been using Yelp to check out the places. I've read some reviews for the main comic book store in the area. Granted this is one place, one person and it's their livelihood. People being heckled for not holding the comic correctly, not knowing certain events that are going on and so on. Kinda sounds like the comic book guy from the Simpsons. That's not a way to attract potential customers/fans. Anyways it's not something that can be helped or controlled by the industry.

In the past couple of weeks, we've seen that DC is planning on reboot or whatever they decided to call it. As well as companies constantly having "big events" back to back all in hopes of catching the interest of new fans. I asked my girlfriend what she thinks a typical comic fan was. Granted it's pretty stereotypical response but she basically described a nerdy person that isn't very socialized. Do y'all think that we as fans whether die-hard or casual push potential new fans away based on what the perception of a comic fan is?

Think of when a comic book movie comes out. What do people assume a comic fan might say about it like recent X-men First Class?

Not a fan of Batwing costume, I'd rather have some kind of helmet. Anyways, good to see that Dick is going back to being Nightwing. Although, it's odd seeing Jason on a team. It looks like he has a bat symbol on his chest.... What about Tim? Hope he remains as Red Robin

Although it sucks for comic retailers I really love the idea of having digital comics. I have what, 1000-2000 issues excluding TPB. It simply takes up needed space in my house.

Having the initial higher cost of digital download would hopefully help out local comic shops when die-hard fans can't wait for digital issues to decrease price
