I love Batman, he's the representation of humanities drive and untapped potential physically and mentally. Why is it so easy to except a guy who has the power to fly, or a guy who has the power to become unstoppable when in motion but impossible to except a man who's power is to make the best out of any situation at any given time. Batman would be a better character for some of you if he got beat to a bloody pulp, or if he got incinerated by Omega beams?
If he did get hit by the omega beams and killed by darksied then what? Wouldn't he be dead, and that would make him a better no non-sense character when he's dead? Maybe that will stop all of the Batman criticism, if he just goes up against somebody people feel he shouldn't beat and then easily die because he's just a human. If this was Captain America nobody would think anything of his impossible feats with a single shield, and batman is considered a peak human just like he is and is noted as smarter.
Sorry for ranting and this is not addressed towards your views in a negative way, I am simply trying to get and understanding of why weakening a hero makes them better for some? People should be impressed that a human has trained his mind and body to a point that he can take on powerful people, he should be praised for what he does simply because he is mortal human being. Please take no offense to my comment, in the end this is still just my opinion.
@Pokeysteve: Thank you my friend, I saw your post and thought this person is thinking what I'm thinking so let me add to it lol!!
Batman has trained himself to the point that he can take on Doomsday clones? Really? See, I know Batman is a powerful character. But the writers can't always excuses for him. Even if a human being has trained himself to the apex of his physicality, he still shouldn't be able to take on Intergalatic powerful beings. Especially if those guys are beating up Superman left and right. It's just not possible to have that type of strength and speed. I can understand if Batman prepared for some future crisis, but there are many cases in which he didn't have time to prepare, and he still survived.
The problem is that how come you don't see guys like Green Arrow, Deadshot, Black Canary, Nightwing, Batgirl going around taking care of business like the way Batman does? Are you saying those guys haven't trained themselves to that level? Green Arrow is also one of the most skilled characters in DC, so is Nightwing. Why don't you see them go up against Darkseid? That's because they would get killed instantly, whereas for some miraculous reason Batman always survives.
