yes, Ogun just recently possessed her

He also possessed her ages ago. :p

Yeah, in her mini series from the 80s. xD

Which would mean she was "re-possessed" right? hahahaha, I can't believe I said it.

Yes or no would depend on the writer, nothing in comics ever needs to make actual sense.

@hawk2916:

That's a pretty good list, I can agree to most of that.

@rickbarry:

Depending on the age set they want to use, I could see him. Of course Ironic that he played the role of Blob.

There's one more reason to have uniforms of course, for identification. It's the same reason sports teams and armies wear uniforms, so that they are readily identifiable, not just to the opposing team or army but also to spectators. Think about it, the police have uniforms so that when they show up with firearms people know which side they're on. In the case of the X-men, having something universally identifiable on every uniform so that people would know, hey those are x-men, without having to know who all of them are would be a good thing. This is especially true for those trying to live Xavier's dream. To promote cooperation and have a good public image you need to be identifiable when you're doing good things. Now iconic individuals like Captain America, etc are fine going their own way, throughout Marvel society everyone recognizes them but the X-men are rarely portrayed that way.

Add to this all of the conflicts between heroes and knowing when a new group joins in which side they're on could be useful before punching faces.

Well, I wish their uniforms were similar to each other but not exactly the same. Uniforms equal cohesion and team work to me. Yes, they each have or should have unique little alterations to them but I do think the teams need to show their colors as it were in a display of unity. All of the groups have been fractured again and again to where it seems they hardly stand up for each other except in emergencies. It feels like the books have been focusing on all the petty grumbling and major differences, infighting until I'm pretty much sick of it. Here's a tip to the writers, disharmony loses it's drawing power when it's almost constant. Readers start becoming numb to it (at least I do) and that goes double for time travelling shenanigans. I'm rambling now so i'll stop...

Sure, why not? I mean if they can give Squirrel Girl a series of her own...

It seems that Peter David has confirmed this. They are losing Quicksilver to the avengers of course and David is basically saying that people trad wait and thats what hurt the book. I'm not sure I agree with that necessarily.

Im not a big numbers guy either as far as sales but was the book really selling worse or bringing in less numbers than it was before? I mean Xfactor always had consistently low numbers so the urgency to cancel it now kind of baffles me. I mean what do we get in its place, another O5 solo? Or perhaps another plug-in-superhero-here and the Xmen?

Oh well, let the conspiracy theories begin right? Seems to me they cancelled the wrong guy.

Thoughts?

I figure each book has a different profit point depending on how much they budget for the writer, artist, colorist, etc. So different books need to sell different amounts to cover the costs and make a profit. That being said it frustrates me that Marvel seems to kill so many series constantly and then I look at DC and see many of their books with lower sales keep on chugging along (even with the relaunches). I wish Marvel would stick it out until the books are actually losing money for several months or find a way to make them cheaper so they could keep many of them going.

That being said, if the real reason for a book being cancelled is that they have other plans for a character or two, then just change the line-up a bit or just disconnect the book from the rest of what's going on. I mean, Quicksilver of all people could be in multiple books at once right?

I thought the focus was the Red Skull, which makes Magneto a natural counter in the x-books plus of course now they have Onslaught to deal with. What with the whole Nazi / mutant concentration camp background happening.

Never will understand the worshipful adoration some people have for Bendis. I have my favorites too but its not like they can do no wrong. Any error he makes is not a big deal for his fans, but let another writer do it. He has some decent ideas at times but his execution coupled with a ridiculously slow and drawn out pace and obvious arrogant attempts to troll and piss off the fans, and his at times blatant attempts to character assassinate and destruction of anything slightly resembling continuity sometimes drowns out t his talent. And please dont try to give me numbers as a justification of anything. The masses are generally not the best argument to use for obvious reasons that I wont state here because I dont want to offend anyone.

This amalgam of a team or whatever hopefully is another troll thing on his part. Though Utopians was supposed to be his thing. Who knows but I certainly don't want him writing Sage or Colossus and Spiral is not an xman.

Pretty much this.

If you were referring to my post I actually wasn't talking about the quality of his work or whether or not I like it. I was being 100% objective and talking about the likelihood of his x-men run being long.

I wasn't referring to your post.
