Well... an NFL lineman's calorie intake is around 5,000 calories a day... Michael Phelps (Olympic swimmer) has said his intake was up to 12,000 calories a day so I would guess that Colossus's intake is somewhere between the two. Something like 8,000 calories a day or three times a normal adult males. *shrugs*

@god_spawn:

Where was it that he said Logan could do that? In the case of Sym, it was in Limbo, not a different universe and as Logan's claws aren't attached to his skeleton by adamantium, I would think snapping the remaining sinew from his skeleton (he was dead I believe) wouldn't be hard at all, hence freeing his claws. (I seem to remember Sym using one as a toothpick at one point. I really have to dig that out).

@rickbarry:

I agree, I think Sym could do it because his strength was so much higher than Wolverine's but that Logan can't put enough force behind it to go through him ordinarily.

I thought he was an osmium alloy and not steel at all? I'd say his durability is directly related to the writers desire to hurt him or not, though I always pictured it as maybe the second toughest metal around (and hence why Logan's claws tend to spark off of him and just scratch him. (Like steel CAN cut iron but not easily)

Back on 8/7, Dennis Hopeless answered a question I gave him about Pete's powers, saying "He's regaining some control. Wearing the vest has helped him reel his powers back in. They aren't fully back to normal just yet."

And for some reason I tend to think his powers are connected to his emotions. When he was all lost and emo they were all over the place, when he's calmer and more focused it seems like he's in control, hence him being all steel when Domino was captured, then losing control when the guards showed up... or am I reading too much into the art? (end of issue 7 and start of issue 8)

I see mention of how Neena is good for Piotr but has anyone noted that the opposite is also true? Domino has an issue with commitment and letting anyone get really close to her. It's understandable given all death that she's usually surrounded by but I see Pete as an "all-in" kind of guy. While she pulls him out of his mopeyness, he in turn leads her into... I don't know how to say this. Stability? Commitment~ish Like in issue 12 where he he says "When you're done making excuses". Or is this just me?

Also, anyone else following Hopeless on Twitter? He answers just about everything when he's on... @hopelessdent
