I really wanted to read this issue, but simply could not get past the pseudo-painted CGI artwork. No disrespect to the artist, It is just not a style I can get on-board with.

May very well be. Just a vibe I get... I am not saying that it is the creator's intention. I find that my tastes in art fall outside that of most fandom. I do not see the appeal of Jim Lee, Ryan Stegman or Nick Bradshaw, for instance, where a good deal of fans do.

Agreed. I'm not a painted fan in general. Always comes off as pretentious to me. This story must be important because it's painted!

@vortex13: Not at all. Bedlam is a great series! Issue #7 was the first Ryan Browne, but the first six feature the amazing Riley Rossmo. Nick Spencer is writing a great story, you can't go wrong!
