I didn’t want it to be good, and I didn’t expect it to be good, and I don’t believe it’s possible for any Fox, or Sony property to be even half as good as the Marvel Studios films we’ve been enjoying for years now.

Sure it’s all for profit, and all a bit skewed from comic canon, etc. but in the case of Sony and Fox, these are compulsory films, it’s almost impossible under that duress ( the maintenance of a license ) to create a film with any heart or genuine intent at all.

@darling_luna: No, the victims are typing the ones that people are trying to raise awareness about, protest for, get legislation passed for etc, not comic book characters or the sensibilities of their readers.

I heard that Marvel is going to place a personal phone call to the internet to make sure they approve of their stories ahead of time starting in 2017.

Unfortunately this won’t curb negativity on these forums, since they can only do one storyline at a time, and so we will have to put up with overly opinionated naysayers until their approved storyline gets green-lit for the next year.

In light of this I think Marvel is going to start letting fans write their favorite characters books sometime shortly after, because it’s really just not fair to force people to read books they don’t like.

All of this is unprecedented mind you, since storylines never change or diverge or get retconned in the comics medium, I have to give kudos to the brave, nagging, deliberately negative and sour Mega Fans of Daredevil, for helping foment the proper dissent deserved for this book.

@noteworthington: I have a firm understanding of both. With this asserted, you can stop asking petty questions which serve no purpose.

My OP has set out factual information. If factual information is considered baiting, then 'baiting' may help you learn. Anyway, the information is that a black man could be faced with the prospect of being lynched a host of reasons; whether it be an accusation of rape, which was very easy, to simply being unpopular. I linked a website which listed a host of reasons which made it commonplace.

A White American woman would not be faced with the prospect of getting lynched, and having her death cheered by a crowd of thousands. A White American woman would not face death for the basis of their skin; and a White American woman, could get a black man killed anytime she wanted.

What actual evidence do you have to suggest that an average White American woman would face the oppression and hatred that a Black Man would? Because throwing around the terms 'sexist' does not provide a useful answer.

How are you ranking the oppression and hatred?

Again, your premise posits that rape was not as frequent or likely as lynching.

Which is both sexist, and inaccurate.

It is your contention that having your death celebrated is the place upon which we shall set the pivot for the scale of women rights versus black rights?

Capitalism and its machinations are relevant because none of these issues operate in a vacuum. The oppression blacks and of women and workers are intersectional and converge and play upon, and enable one another.

And I'm not sure you want to delve into 'evidence,' being as you've provided none thus far yourself.

Are you sure you actually understand the plight of either oppressed group?

Your OP does not demonstrate much confidence or depth of knowledge regarding the rights and treatment of women historically.

Your OP does not address aspects of our current vernacular and culture that are based on, and continue to reinforce sexist ideals.

The labor movement through out the world has historically been feminist in nature, despite some leaders and prominent sects being quite sexist, because terms such as "unskilled labor" stem from sexist ideas on what women were educated and qualified to do. These women could not become educated or qualified because they were not allowed to go to school, or take up internships or apprentice at what were considered skilled, male jobs.

The oppression of both men and women of color, and women in general is essential to the economic underpinnings and continuation of Capitalism, for example.

I don't think you have a very good grasp on the topic you are trying to broach. Offhand, I'd say this is a race-baiting, sexist troll.

Rape VS lynching is not a basis for determining a contest of oppression. If such a contest were even relevant or able to be quantified or qualified at all. Which it would not be.

Rape VS lynching are not the only plights suffered by the respective parties broached in this topic.

I'm glad you folks interviewed so many DC fans to find out if they were "real" or not! Thanks for the insight into the New 52!

Wow! I did not see this one coming on the list of events Marvel is bringing back. Though to be fair, who could?

I'm most excited about this one. Maestro is one of my favorite characters.

Makes me want to re-read What Savage Beast by Peter David.
