In Battle Board threads, unless Prep-time is specified, it's assumed to be a random encounter. As such, the opponents are only allowed to use whatever equipment is considered "standard gear." So, in most Thanos vs. Hulk threads, there's no prep involved, so posters don't bring it up.

Welcome to the Vine. Useful points here, but this is not a battle. In essence though you are right. Even Thanos from Avengers Assemble, which was woefully depowered, was able to mind control the hulk with less than a gesture.

And even without prep, Thanos is just out of Hulk's league in every possible category. Including Strength as Thanos is stronger than base Hulk by quite a lot.

Imo, i think WBHulk is stronger than Thanos at his first showing(it was only half the planet and i'm guessing there were multiple clashes as well, but still extremely impressive as it was only one of his first feats), but i'm I sure he showed many more impressive feats after this, plus he's probably been gaining in strength as well. Yup, Thanos ftw.

@czarny_samael666: I think that even first showing Thanos has better durability than WBH, just not strength (still extremely impressive). As for Drax's star busting feat, that was a very... tactical way of destroying a star. Still star-busting potential, but i wouldn't use it to debate Drax's capabilities.

@czarny_samael666: IMO, if WBHulk could somehow get to the core of a Small Sun, i think he has the strength to move it (the core, and tbh he would have to be pushing himself quite a bit). I'm not sure since i don't study the stars, but while the core of our sun is bigger than Jupiter, I think the core of small Sun would be around the same size of Jupiter, maybe bigger. Once again, i'm not sure about that, i'm not even sure about the size of our sun, but from what i remember it's a very small medium sized sun.

Czarny_samael666 is incorrect. 1. Hulk did NOT die when he destroyed the planet with Red She-Hulk. It was explicitly stated that Hulk's wish is what brought everyone back. How'd he make a wish if he was dead? 2. Thanos vs. Drax fight didn't destroy the planet anywhere as easily as Hulk vs. Betty did.

Well, if it was WB Hulk it would be a decent fight to see.

Interesting how for what ever reason everybody assumes a Hulk vs Thanos fight will be decided with a punch out. Thanos has shown to be able to known to knock out characters like Thing and Thor with simple blast, withstand a fully feed Galataus, tank blast from Odin and Silver Surfer, and went toe to toe with Tyrant. Between his intelligence, power, and strength this is an easy fight.

Yes this much is true. Honestly, Characters like Thanos, Odin, Surfer etc, shouldn't have to even throw punches when fighting Planet level Powerbusters due to their power versatility.

But this thread is spite and didn't need to be bumped.

why would thanos need prep against hulk. hulk's not too powerful or too smart, he would however be a good to harass just for fun.

Isn't Hulk not even a planet buster? Thanos with no gear is at least above solar system level.
