@guardiandevil83: oh! I thought you were talking about the scene in Man of Steel where the guy in the bar humiliates Clark. I haven't seen Superman 2 in ages so I guess I completely forgot that part.
@guardiandevil83: that's because he wasn't Superman at that point. Plus he hardly humiliated the trucker he just destroyed his truck. That's not humiliating him. Humiliating him would've been if he had used his powers to beat him up in the bar. That moment of restraint where he decided to just take the guys abuse was a VERY Superman moment.
This idea that Superman couldve moved these fights to a safer place is fairly ridiculous. HOW!? The people he were fighting were near as powerful as himself and outnumbered him in Smallville. Do you SERIOUSLY think that if Superman had said something like "now friends I know we have our differences but could we please move this altercation to a different location to prevent unnecessary loss of life" Faora and her buddy wouldve listened? Its a absolutely ridiculous criticism.
Every single member of the Avengers is a murderer yet for some reason they are exempt from criticism. Heck I cant even imagine how many people died in the Chitauri attack of New York when Iron Man sent a massive space whale hurtling towards the populated streets or when the Hulk went smashing through buildings. Holding Superman to this different and frankly impossible standard simply isnt fair.
Superman killing Zod was something I took issue with at first but at the end of the day Superman II was no better. Supes destroyed Zods hand and threw him down a seemingly endless pit while smiling. Hell LOIS killed Ursa with a smack to the face that sent her hurling down the pit to her death. He showed no remorse and its treated as a triumphant moment yet Superman purists seem to praise that movie.
I honestly really like all these designs with my favorites being Flash and Green Lantern. The overwhelming negativity in the comments is absolutley ridiculous! Its a great creative team give it a chance! Comic fans are really starting to bum me out. When I first started reading a couple years back it seemed like fans were a more constructive bunch. Now all Im seeing is senseless hate and this hipster sense of superiority about mainstream comics.
This is GREAT news! While I really enjoyed Earth 2 in the beginning it sorta lost me after the first arc. Hopefully this will inject some much needed energy into the book. If its anywhere near as good as Injustice then this will be an awesome book!
Such a great issue. I wasnt even REMOTELY interested in Savage Wolverine prior to this issue but I LOVE Joe Mad's art so I had to check it out. And Tony I know its going to hurt a bit but youve probably got to start getting used to the fact that Wolverine isnt 5'3 anymore. Hes been drawn as decently tall(but still a bit shorter than average) for years now. Wolverines probably around 5'7 or 5'8 now based on how hes been drawn the past few years.
@captain13: did you actually read the article? That's exactly what they're doing. They will release Man of Steel 2 THEN a Justice League movie followed by the solo films.
I personally think that Arkillo lost solely because so many were unaware of how much physical strength he actually has WITHOUT the ring. Many (including myself) didnt know that Arkillo is a brute even without the ring as seen when he nearly beat Mongul a Superman level villain without his ring. With that much strength plus the ring I just dont see how Hulk could win.
@sentryman555: I think its just the style of trailer theyre going for. All of the trailers so far have only had very small snippets of dialogue mostly from Jor El with a bit of Pa Kent and Lois Lane. General Zod has only had I think one line as well. The trailers are relying on the score and the visuals to draw you in and in my opinion its working pretty dang well! This way its also minimizing the spoilers in the trailers.
