Time to update my crappy intro.
I don't own a ton of comics. Moving around, I know I've left behind a huge amount of Spawn and Batman from the Knightfall years. Nowadays, I constantly shifted from mainstream to independent but I have my staples: I always go back to DC's Batman. I loved Nightwing, Red Robin and Stephanie Brown as Batgirl before the New 52's. I couldn't stand the whole mess that Grant Morrison made with Batman Inc, and now somehow all that is back.
Batwoman was promising but I don't like the whole deal with the new company she's keeping and all the impossibly advanced tech she has. Nevertheless, I'm still on that ride since there's a chance for a good plot if she starts clashing with Batman. Batgirl has lost some of the fun factor it had with Steph and Babs/Oracle - somehow Oracle seemed such a stronger character, although I'm happy for Babs getting back her mantle it does seems like a step back.
Tim Drake's Red Robin was good but his hit list strategy got absorbed by Bruce coming back "in time" which was just an excuse to draw Batman in different time periods - cool but didn't need the whole time travel stuff. Nowadays Tim is Teen Titans, which is a title that always seems on the verge of taking off, but hasn't quite yet.
I'm loving Outlaws with the Red Hood at the helm. Despite the whole Koriandr-turns-slutty aspect, I think that the comic was really starting to pick up without all the usual baggage that other series had and lot more fun, lore and action issues. I specially liked the Jason Todd backstory and I think Kori was really starting to emerge. I just hope it has a direction now, and doesn't get lost in side stories.
Batman was getting consistently good with the Court of Owls in the main title and the whole Joker in Detective Comics. Even Damien seems to be getting some depth in Batman and Robin. Incorporated... still kind of blah for me but since it seems to be impacting everything I now HAVE to follow it... which pisses me off.
Also a fan of the Magdalena (keeps getting side stories, let's do one well-established plot with no "guest stars" please?), Grifter (he was better in the original Wildcats, now I'm not sure where it's going), The Boys (it's about to end? Darn!), Powers (can we stop taking 3 months between each issue??) and a few things here and there.
End ranty intro. Hello there!
