Is that you, Michael Fassbender?

Looking at the preview to Uncanny X-Men #538 I noticed that Terry Dodson's Magneto looks a lot like Michael Fassbender...does anyone else see it, or is it just me?

Did you guys ever notice that the likeness of some comic book characters often changes to look like the actors that portray those characters on film? I've noticed this before with Wolverine, who I felt began to look more and more like Hugh Jackman over time.

Then again, maybe it's just me. If you agree, post some examples!

Witchblade Inspires Jim Lee's Gaga Costume Much?

Jim Lee loves to do re-designs of popular costumes we all know and love, often drawing inspiration from character designs we may already be familiar with. Take his Wonder Woman costume re-design, for example. Was it a coincidence that she looks a little bit like Rogue from his early days at Marvel?

Well, he's done it again. Lee recently sketched a costume design for Lady Gaga- or is that Sara Pezzini with a dye job? That sure is what it looks like, to me. I wonder; if Gaga decides to go with this outfit, will Top Cow get some cash? :)

Podcast for 3-18-11

With Tony, Mat and Tom in Chicago for C2E2, and a full day for Norm and I, we decided that it would be best to put the podcast on hold until Monday this week. However, if you are a subscriber, then you should know that tonight's HAPPY HOUR LIVE SHOW will go on! Sorry for any inconvenience in regards to the podcast this week, but we thought it best to wait until everyone was available for the conversation. Thanks, everyone!

Friday 3/11/11: CV LIVE Show and Podcast Update!

Hey guys,
With the massive Earthquake that hit Japan yesterday and the Tsunami warnings for San Francisco, Tony and I decided it might be best not to come into the office today. Unfortunately, that also means that the podcast we shoot every Friday will have to be pushed to Monday. I know, I know, it sucks- but the good news is that you have a plethora of podcast episodes to choose from, so if you're feeling adventurous you should pick a random oldie and tune in!

Also, just to let subscribers know, there WILL in fact be a Whiskey Media LIVE show, but since a lot of the staff is splitting their time between PAX EAST and SXSW, it will be a little bit more low key than usual. However, the show will go on, so enjoy!

Brilliance: Superheroes Meet Charlie Sheen!

Every Thursday I write the script for and film the Comic Vine News video, which is why I sometimes do a facepalm when something really big and important is announced on Friday...and I have already shot and posted my video. :( I know, it's a bummer. But I digress.  As I was doing a bit of research on the week's biggest news stories I had to pass up on mentioning something I came across that I absolutely loved.

I'll be straight with you. I am not too crazy about Charlie Sheen. I think in order to really appreciate him and all the work he did on Two And A Half Men I would probably have to be a middle aged man, which if you haven't noticed, I am not. Charlie's been in the news a lot lately, talking about how "dying is for losers," and that he is a "winner." Yeahhh...

Anyway, he's been acting like a pretty big asshole. But whose to say that good things can't come from egotistical jackasses?  WHO IS TO SAY?

Comics Alliance and  Let's Be Friends Again have taken all Charlie Sheen's most recent whimsical sayings- and put them to Superheroes. I give you the funniest thing I have seen in a long, long time.
