Look: Sleepman, Black Noir, Fantomas
Vincent Lamas, attention whore and revenge fetishist. He became a fallen hero because he craved the media attention that it gave him, he used to be the average 'do-gooder' as a child until the era of brooding heroes came along. He needed something that the media will love, so he killed his own mother and blamed it on the criminals. Setting himself as an orphan for new parents to adopt him, he is a bad seed that intentionally sets up the demise of others in peaceful towns so that he can be a 'hero'. Avenging the death of others has gotten him into an addiction where he will rig up accidents and 'avenge' the fallen victims, even though he is the perpetrator himself. Finding others to slap the blame upon, he hates society even though he wants to be on the spotlight. Ironically his powers revolve around the dark. Upon learning that the media focuses more on tragedy than joy he seeks to become a villain instead, he now lives in Dystopia (formerly known as detroit)
Powers are not always given to those responsible, sometimes they are owned at the hands at those with insanity. Vincent Lamas is a reformed hero, now living as a freelance villain with his own personalized code of morals. He is the protector of evil in the eternal fight against the combined forces of justice, seeking to give the light of bad against the nebulous shadows of 'good'. For whenever he draws breath he will never stop his unholy crusade, he wants a world that is not bound by things such a ethics or at least invert the codes that many people hold dear. Willing to go through any lengths to do so, the shaping himself to become dangerous even to those with odd temperament.
- He possessed vast regenerative powers.
he uses the darkness 'inside' to close up damages, when the shadow touches his body he heals wounds as fast as they are made. In the light however it is only slightly above normal humans in a regard similar to first person shooters, where he will 'heal' when not involved in conflict. He does not rely on this particular power, and mostly stays away from attacks whenever he can but when chips are down it is something that he can lean on.
- controls a mysterious dark force that enables him to fly and that he can manipulate to take many forms.
mostly to 'glide' and to create his shroud of shadows which can extend to create ragged leathery wings. In combat they are dynamic, its levitating properties negate gravity and is used to aid in acrobatic feats. The strategy would be to create makeshift shade because unlike his strength the forms do not immediately disappear in contact with light, or to yank enemies into darkened areas by the use of shadow harpoons fired from his 'cloak'
- He is weakened by the presence of bright light.
his belief that poisoned him, but this is also another strength because it pushes him to 'cover' his weaknesses. Under the light he is just an average 'street-level' type whereas in the dark he is a legitimate threat, this condition pushes him to train harder to mimic the combat prowess of the non-powered heroes. He carries stolen gadgets to make the chances of survival more better, and his entire mindset is based on this balance.
- possessed super strength, but only at night or in the absence of significant amounts of visible light radiation.
he is a stealth focus despite his dependance of attention, strength wise he is equal to a kryptonian (two of them in fact) after a good sun dip and his durability gets a boost as well. But only in absence of darkness, in the light he is peak human at max (think captain america on his good days). In the dark he can easily disassemble most of his opponents, in the light he must resort to careful planning on the go.
- could project total darkness that engulfed a victim and prevented them from seeing, hearing or feeling anything. After prolonged exposure the victim would be unable to even move.
a hidden ace to use when cornered, but could be used sparingly in certain context. The set up is between striking combinations or grappling transitions to give a sense of off balance to the enemy. It is also a 'second wind' if he is cornered to a certain position where the odds are stacked against him, and it is useful when he is illuminated from all angles without a single dark source.
- could become a tangible shadow, but the process was extremely painful, and he couldn't use this power for extended periods of time.
a secret trick used at the most dangerous times, often saved when all other options are seemingly exhausted. In close quarters combat it is used in 'short bursts' as it is reserved for extremely powerful counter attacks while exchanging blows, because he can control shadows this form is malleable to such an extent that he can do things beyond the capabilities of the human form. Piercing attacks are common, like spikes or drills.
- he could create dimensional warps and teleport himself and others.
by entering shadows/darkness he can emerge elsewhere under the shades, in his career this is important for quick getaways for unique angles in fighting. He can literally come out and strike from 'any' darkened area which provides for many opportunities, this is used in tandem with his cape fighting. His shroud can provide many distraction to confuse his opponents in fighting, sometimes he would manifest a warp along the surface of his cape to repel attacks.
- When teleporting between two places he had to make a stopover in the Plains of Darkness.
a place to replenish energy and rest, but also a place where he can dump or maroon is enemies if he is feeling particularly nasty. There is only darkness in there, oxygen does not stay nor does light in any form exist. He can 'see' to navigate around the treacherous paths whereas others might get lost. On the other hand he can use the location to store items in his safe location where he had removed the beasts.
- a competent martial artist, and his black consume and agility allowed him to blend in and out of shadows as he fought.
his powers allows versatility, and he learns Vale Tudo from his trip to Brazil a while ago. He is incapable of harnessing inner power, but he is good at mixing his own powers with his fighting style which gives him a good leverage against one dimensional opponents who rely too much on one thing or the other. Instead of flying kicks and pressure points he excels in grappling, which is a good surprise because of his lack of stature but in the dark he can easily manipulate joints and contort muscle.
Boxer (Dirty Boxer), Muay Thai (Clinchwarrior), Wrestler (Cageclincher), & BJJ (Clinch/Pull Guard)

- as Night-Claw he was always unarmed
powered 'wrangler' persona where he relies on his powers and hand to hand prowess more than his tools. It is use to surprise 'stronger' enemies who had time to assess his performance during light conditions, in this mode he is very dangerous to those who are arrogant. He may have had a strength boost but skill level is still the same, also his shadow abilities can confuse those who are accustomed to fighting more 'conventional' villains.
- as Night-Hand he wielded a stiletto and gun.
non powered daylight persona, but not completely powerless. Taking tips from his masked vigilante days he has been using gadgets and simple diversion tactics to bypass enemies, bobbing and weaving in between shadows. A knife to slit throats and stab people along with his gun to end fights so that they don't escalate into more troublesome things. Additional gadgets may include things like smoke bombs to provide darkness and emp switches to kill electronic lights.
- possessed perfect night-vision
Hiding away in the dark is a futile gesture, it is his field advantage. To enter his range is just like feeding hamsters to a snapping turtle, there is the darkness where they can rely on super senses to aid them. There is 'his' darkness where super senses will be deactivated, then there is the Plains of Darkness where conventional battlefield notions or newton's law's of physics are thrown off the window. The longer he fights in the dark the stronger he gets, not to mention he can change its 'density' to make it seem like they are moving in ocean depths.
