Yeah, I think it could definitely pave the way for a Nightwing show. I, for one, vote Ian Somerhalder for the job. :)

You don't kill Dick Grayson. You don't maime Dick Grayson. You don't take Dick Grayson out of commision. You don't even think about it. It's just wrong.

That COULD work...although it wouldn't go completly with Jason's history. I guess since the show is set on Earth 16 (correct me on that if I'm wrong), a little artistic license would be okay. Plus, I REALLY would like to see Jason make an appearance, if not become a regular...and it would also be really cool to see how his reappearance would play out with the Bat Family, especially if Batman is gone while he appears...I can see some interesting prospects coming on. Very whelming...I hope he comes soon.

Can't stand waiting...slowly dying from withdrawl...hiatus is like kryptonite only not nearly as cool to look at...okay, okay, gotta snap outta that! The show is less than 24 hours away, I can do this (maybe, I'm only human you know). Alright, so, (trying to look at the positives) I am SO excited it's almost here! How bout all of you fellow fans out there? Feeling traught about making it through yet, cause its almost time! Yea! Oh, and thanks for the encouragement, guys, cause I REALLY would like to see Jason included. I guess your right, too. But what would any of you say to those 1-2 (or more, if I'm lucky) episodes focusing just on the Bat Family to get him acclimated? I think it would be totally whelming, but still...too much to hope for?

Hmmm....Well, just on the basis of shaking things up, I might wanna see Starfire, Raven, Jason, and maybe Damian somewhere in the show. Although...those last two would be tricky, but so would the first two in other ways. Oooo! I got one! What if the main Teen Titans crew (from the COMICS*, of course) made an entrance into the show sometimes...Now THAT would be kinda cool AND perhaps give Nightwing a bigger part too! XD Yep, I like my second idea better.

*By comics I mean the older ones (minus the 80's get-ups, those were just bad), not the newest addition. (What can I say, I'm a sucker for the originals)

Aside from all of that, do you really think that Red Hood will make an appearance? I mean, he is a pretty violent character at times...although it would be cool to see him included in something for once. If they DO let Red Hood make an appearance though, I think there should be at least two episodes focusing completly on the Bat Family for that, so that all of the details and relationships between Red Hood, Nightwing, Robin, Batman, and/or Batgirl etc. are clearly stated and Jason can be asserted more clearly. I would SO watch that, and the show would then be more accurate. My only question is how does one explain to the younger viewers of the show how Jason died and came back to life without permanently psychologically scarring the kid/ overloading the kid's brain with Bat information, ultimatly causing a meltdown to last the ages? And what about the all the important people in charge of the show and Cartoon Network, can they successfully air Jason Todd without causing the show to take a dreadful downfall in the fan sector or worse, causing the show to get cancelled? (If they can't do Todd right, they should just leave him out of it. A true failure would be to misrepresent him.) This could just be me overreacting, but still, how?

Once again, i am back to the ARE YOU INSANE moment. Damian could definitely pull off NIGHTWING, but as you said, DICK is the heart of the Bat Family, not NIGHTWING. Just cause they were close doesn't mean he is fit to replace Dick at all. Plus, if the entire family left Bruce and things got all angsty and weepy, sales would go down.
P.S,
Just try to kill off Dick or Alfred. BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN.
You have been warned.

I can honestly say that if they maimed Dick I would lead a revolt against DC that would ultimatly end with the person responsible dying painfully and/or slowly. It would simply drive me completly and totally insane.
