The Superman fanboys are getting to an all time annoying level. Of course Superman would win. But here's what i'm saying. Initially Spider-Man can hold his own. He is a limited precog (ever heard of a spider sense), he does have reflexes on par with anyone, and he can match strength with The Thing. Put this together then MAYBE Supes doesn't land on the first blow and Spidey can get a few in before the stomp. IS THAT CLEAR ENOUGH?

I never said spider-man would win. I merely suggested that maybe being different can give him an element of suprise (i.e. the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. Nobody in the ACC ran the triple option so when they started using it they kept teams off guard with a style they haven't seen before, thus winning two straight ACC titles). AN ELEMENT OF SUPRISE, THAT'S ALL.

@Ferro Vida: Okay let's look at this clearly. Superman's rogue's gallery includes... Toyman, Brainiac, Lex Luthor, Parasite, Intergang, etc... None of these guys are considerably powerful in any stretch of the imagination, yet they still manage to be a threat to Superman. Spider-Man has fought The Juggernaught, The Hulk, Speedfreak, The Fantastic Four and various other super powerful foes and held his own. NOW HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART. SPIDER-MAN CAN'T BEAT SUPERMAN. BUT, HIS POWER SET IS UNIQUE. UNIQUE ENOUGH THAT HE CAN CATCH SUPERMAN OFF GUARD WITH A SET OFF POWERS THAT HE HASN'T SEEN TOGETHER BEFORE.

Superman would win...BUT, Spider-Man has a power set that's unique and would definitely take supes some time to adjust to someone as strong, and agile as  Spidey. So, initially Spider-Man catches Supes off guard with his weird fighting style, but he gains the upper hand in the end.

Jack  Kirby 9/10- he's the king more because of his innovations and design. his style takes a while to get used to though. minus a point.
Sterenko 8/10- underrated generally in these boards but probably the 70's most influential artist behind Neal Adams
Neal Adams 10/10- The artist of the 70's his style was clean and anatomically correct still stands well today
Mike Deodato, Jr. 9/10- He draws everything well. I haven't really seen him "off" on anything loses a point for too many shadows (not always) though
Art Adams 9/10- My favorite artist. Anatomically correct, detailed, Kirby-esque designs love anything with him
Joe Maduiera 7/10- My favorite X-Men artist. But those "Manga hands" bug me sometimes

That's just some of my favorites. I left off a bunch maybe I'll post some more later.

I used to HATE supes, then I realized that it's not him; it's his fanboys. He has a major case of TTS (that's Tim Tebow syndrome). He's faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Fanboys take that and turn it into "Faster than the speed of light, more powerful than celestial, and able to leap from Mars to Jupiter in a single bound. He's powerful, not "all powerful". There are clearly more powerful characters, but you can't tell a fanboy that. But I have to admit I love "New Krypton".
