All out blitz on Top Cow or Wildstorm

So...I'm normally a Marvel guy with a little DC mixed in. But, since Marvel announced Marvel Now!, I've decided that I'm going to cut back my Marvel pulls drastically and all out blitz back issues of either Top Cow or Wildstorm. I haven't decided which yet, so I guess that's what I'm asking. Which should I read and what series should I read? Mind you that I've already started on The Authority and will continue to catch up on it regardless.

@SoA: I could do without Spectre as long as Fate is on the team. the two of them on one team is ridiculous power. I would love to seed Dodds!

Buy both of them. Then find a few others like Dynamite Comics. There's a lot of entertaining things out there.

@SoA: So far I've read these. Earth-2 is way better than I thought it was going to be, I picked up the first three issues last week, read through, them and was just left jaw on the ground, I can't wait to see Dr. Fate appear.

@SoA: I'm sticking through this Liefeld period of Hawkman in hopes that it's just that, a period. Have you tried out the New 52 books that have come out in later waves? I'm probably enjoying Dial H more than anything else right now.

@SoA: Wow, that's a heavy pull list. Hawkman has been very hit or miss with me, one issue I'll really dig and the next will be a let down. I dropped Captain Atom and All-Star Western both after issue #3. Haven't touched the Red Hood, Blue Beetle or Detective Comics though.

@SoA: Right now just Batman. I'm willing to try Swamp Thing, but I was never really a fan of Swamp Thing or Man-Thing to be honest. But I'm not completely dismissing it, it's just on hold.

@DoomDoomDoom: I won't touch anything "new 52" not written by Snyder. I'm boycotting for the same reasons I'm down on Marvel Now! Characters don't need massive reboots to get new readers, they need awesome stories and less company wide crossovers that alienate casual fans.

@SoA: Definitely. I'm thinking Wildstorm is going to be the choice for me. More people are recommending different titles so that's a plus. I'm reading The Authority right now and I think I'm going to start on Stormwatch next.

I still don't really know how to feel about the New 52...I feel cheated since I spent a little over three years trying to play catch up and understand an overwhelming amount of ideas and stories...only to be given a fresh start. I'm going to figuratively straddle the fence on this one.

@I'maDC/ImageGuy!: To be honest, Planetary doesn't interest me at all. I've heard nothing but good things about it but I doesn't intrigue me much. I might check it out after I get some of the things that really interest me read.

@Night Thrasher: I preferred the separation of the universes....a majority of the Wildstorm characters have slipped into limbo with a few appearing in Stormwatch....at least Fairchild is still around...even if her prereboot self was much cooler

@danhimself: @DoomDoomDoom: I've noticed that too. Apollo especially seemed cooler to me. I would go so far as to say that 75% of the characters were cooler before the reboot.

@Night Thrasher: the darkness and witchblade are top cows best comics , you should checks up on artifacts - its a series that has to do with both and 10 other characters with crazy powers , there is even a origin/#0 issue , that tells each back story so you wont be too lost

as for wildstorm you have the authority , wild c.a.t.s,and planetary . there are others but this what i read and the last two books have teamed up with the authority . there is also tranquilty : its about a small communty of retired superheroes and the new generation of super beings living in the same town.

i was the same way with comics , i started with marvel discovered DC then got into indie companies . as of november im dropping marvel completely(due to that NOW nonsense ) . hope my suggestions helped!

@danhimself: I'm following the New 52 Stormwatch, If you've read that, how does it compare to the Wildstorm version in your opinion?

@danhimself: I've been reading The Authority. So far it's been good. Started off really strong but fell off after Ellis left. But I'm definitely interested in Stormwatch and WetWorks. Top Cow! has caught my eye mainly due to the art and Cyberforce.

the only books from Top Cow really worth reading are The Darkness and Witchblade....I'd go with Wildstorm...so many awesome books like Gen13 (my personal favorite especially the first volume), The Authority, Stormwatch, WildCATS, the Team Zero, Team One, and Team 7 minis, DV8, Planetary, Ex Machina, Astro City...oh man I could go on and on

I've read very little Wildstorm and no Topcow that I know of but I really dug The Programme from Wildstorm. Worth checking out in my opinion.
