On television and in entertainment, this would be called a hook. The problem is, they deliver on the hook, so I guess we can just call this the knife, as in stabbing you in the back for your cash.
I haven't read any Ant-Man or Hank Pym, but I am picking up one of his graphic novels here soon that I came across. I didn't grab it already because there were a few other things I already had in mind. Fans of his can only hope that it's him that is Ant-Man on the big screen and that he is successful because that will most certainly assure him of a solo run.
This seems to happen a fair bit in comics. I've noticed a few times that a character will be on the cover and either barely be mentioned or not be mentioned at all.
Man, I have really been looking forward to the Winter Soldier/Black Widow storyline but am dreading Brubaker leaving. I hope he goes out with a bang. He'll definitely be missed.
I am looking into reading some of Moore's work myself. The stuff I read about Alan Moore the person make him seem like a guy who takes himself way too seriously but by all accounts, his work is some of the better stuff out there.
Tried to pick this up today but it wasn't available. Will look into the other ones. Really have been trying to pick up some of these memorable issues to gain some insight on the characters I enjoy reading.
Very enjoyable read and well thought out. Outside of Constantine, I haven't actually read any other those but I have heard of most of them. Would love to see some other peoples ideas as well.
I was one of the people that picked up Stormwatch for Martian Manhunter, so if that was their plan, then it probably worked. The problem is, once he left, I pretty much left. I still like Midnighter quite a bit but the book just never quite caught on with me. Really hoping the new JL is something I enjoy.
