Hello All. I have recently decided to get into the Scarlet Spider (kaine) storyline, and had a few questions. Is this story arc going to be the main/long lasting story arc or is it just a short term story arc? I have noticed that issues come out once a month and was wondering if i should just wait until trade paperback or try and pick up the separate issues at a store.

@Labarith

Thank you for breaking it down. I have been looking into several different characters and was thinking about getting into Ultimate Spiderman, Deadpool, CA, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor. Then I thought I could just as easily get into the Avengers, but was thinking of just getting into Ultimate spiderman and the Ultimates as they are easier to obtain it seems.
I don't have too many comic book stores in my area and am mostly looking into TPB.

Captain America #1 comes out June 29th so for now I recommend reading what's happening through the fourms on here and reading both Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers profiles.

oh, ok. So they are relaunching the series? I am terribly sorry. I am very new to comics (hense the name) and don't know the run of the mill "relaunch" or "reboot" style that marvel does, yet.

I am looking to get into captain america (and the avengers as well) but when I search for specifics,  I get a very long list of issues and don't know where to start. What would you recommend??

Hello all. I am very new to the comic world although i have seen most of the comic book movies in the past 10 years  (the live action ones that everyone seems to hate). I was thinking it was about time to enter the world of comics so I picked four characters that seemed most interesting to me: deadpool, thor, the hulk, and spiderman. (i know these are now most household names especially because of the movies released, but they also seemed the most entertaining after reading abit on the internet.)

Now, onto another issue, because i chose 4, i would like to pick only a few of each to start with and eventually expand out.

What are, in your opinion, the most bare essential collections? What makes those the "must have" issues?

Hello all. I am new to this site and the comic world as of recently. I went into a local comic book store to look around and took a look at Deadpool. I had heard about him through the Wolverine movie, but mostly heard how wrongly he was portrayed. I looked up on the internet what he was really like and was instantly drawn to the character. I went to my local comic book store, but only bought one. I was far from disappointed.
I've done extensive research as to different series that he was in, but I am very low on spare cash to fund my expenditure.

In your opinion, which Deadpools series are most worth the effort? I've heard alot of good things on his "merc with a mouth" storyline and also became curious of the marvel zombie issues he was in (I think it was 3 and 4). I have also heard good things about "Deadpool & Cable."

Are there any writers/artists I should stay away from?
