I guess we found a few more, eh, ScoodleDaddle? I, of course, saw the same math-teacher topic.

Ugh, obviously. I was just thinking Story Arcs were for...Hell, I don't know. Brain farts are terrible things, aren't they?

How are we classifying events? Should they be created as 'Things'? That's probably the best way to do it, but events like the Crises involve EVERYBODY, and it seems like it might be nice to have a separate way to link those to characters. Thoughts?

You didn't like Coyote Gospel? That was when I really got into it, since I thought the whole B'Wana Beast arc was a little generic. If you don't like the out-there stuff, though, you might want to stay away from the rest. It's the single most out-there comic I've read, but I think the end result is the greatest story I've ever read. Assuming you've read CoIE it's absolutely amazing. And if you haven't, it's still great, but harder to follow.

I was thinking about doing this anyway, and then I saw that tyger_raven hates 'im, so I figured I'd ask people's opinions.

I personally think that Grant Morrison circa 1988 is the single best writer ever to hit comics. Animal Man is absolutely brilliant and entirely mind-boggling. Doom Patrol is chock-full of brilliant ideas.

Then you get to newer stuff. I haven't read the last few arcs of New X-Men, but I enjoyed the first two hardcovers. Not great, but pretty good. But then...you have things like the Filth which, while containing a few good ideas in there, just seemed stupid to me. And thus far I haven't been too impressed with his Batman run (though he's infinitely better than Ostrander on Grotesk), though the half of 7 Soldiers I've read has been decent.

So what does everybody else think? Is he a hack? Is he past his prime? Is he a god among men?

I absolutely love the early issues of USM, so I don't think I can ever truly hate Bendis no matter what he does. Sure, his stories are ridiculously expanded, but he has written some absolutely fantastic dialogue (see anything involving Ultimate Spidey and the Kingpin) and does a young Peter Parker better than I've seen...well, just about anywhere.

Could there be a separate header we can put in, set off with spoiler tags that have to be clicked to reveal the text, for 'Recent Events?' It could cover anything within, say, the last year? Maybe two?

Same. Red Son is one of my all-time favorites. It's such a wonderful tragic fall. And the last two pages are absolutely mind-blowing. Excellent stuff.
