Scooby-Doo! Team-Up

Due to some craziness regarding Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #9 and #11, I have scrapped all my TV series ideas for Scooby-Doo crossover TV series based on the comic book. Instead, I have a plan for a direct adaptation of the comic book series itself.

Scooby-Doo! Team-Up

As you might already know, Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #11 features Secret Squirrel. Here are five characters I suspect will be in the next five to six issues:

  1. Atom Ant - Secret Squirrel's co-star in the Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show. This superhero is relied upon by the understaffed police force of a neighboring town. Mystery, Inc. could help him.
  2. Squiddly Diddly - Another co-star. This octopus seeks to achieve musical stardom. The most likely scenario for a team-up would be Squiddly Diddly and Chief Winchley teaming up with Mystery, Inc. to solve a mystery at Bubbleland. Maybe Orful Octopus will be mentioned.
  3. Precious Pupp - Another co-star. This dog is a terror. His owner is a motorcycle lover. Perhaps, Precious Pupp is just protecting his home. Or maybe, he is just having fun. Muttley and Mumbly could be mentioned.
  4. The Hillbilly Bears - More co-stars. The Ruggs are hillbillys from Appalachia. Maybe Mystery, Inc. can end that feud with the Hoppers.
  5. Winsome Witch - One more co-star. Winsome Witch is friendly but inept. And she is a witch which would spook Shaggy and Scooby-Doo.

Bonus: Superman - Superman was never in the Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show. He is included here because it seems rather silly not to have him appear again. Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #9 seems to indicate that Mystery, Inc. will find out his secret identity at some point. That is what makes me uncomfortable.

This is all I have to say.

The Creepleys

I have recently got Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #7. One thing I noticed is that the Creepleys from the Laff-A-Lympics are mentioned but not by name. Daphne mentions that Mystery, Inc. met the Creepleys who are descended from the Gruesomes.

Future Scooby-Doo Series

I have ideas for future Scooby-Doo series based on Scooby-Doo! Team-Up. The main characters common throughout these series are obvious. Here they are:

  1. Fred Jones - the leader of Mystery, Inc who usually sets up traps. He is a descendent of John Paul Jones, a hero of the American Revolution. Voiced by Frank Welker.
  2. Daphne Blake - the fashion lover of the group and danger-prone, a trait she inherited from her Scottish immigrant father, though she is also a skilled fighter. Voiced by Grey DeLisle.
  3. Velma Dinkley - the brains of the group who wears glasses. Aside from being the smartest in the group, this German-American whiz and descendent of Victor Frankenstein is also the strongest of the group. Voiced by Mindy Cohn.
  4. Shaggy Rogers - one of the two cowards of the group. He is also as hungry as the Flash and a descendent of one of the pilgrims. Voiced by Matthew Lillard.
  5. Scooby-Doo - the other coward in the group and a dog that talks. Voiced by Frank Welker.

Each series has its own set of characters separate from these five. The list of series and their exclusive main characters is below:

  1. Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Analysts of Gotham City - a TV show based on the first three issues of Scooby-Doo! Team-Up and continuing on from there. (Note: Issue 4 is adapted as the fourth episode of the show, but the events are revealed to be a dream.) It involves Mystery, Inc. working in Gotham City with Batman and Robin and the rest of the Mystery Analysts of Gotham City with guest stars who are also mystery solvers. It has the following exclusive main characters:
    1. Bruce Wayne/Batman - Gotham's main superhero and the billionaire CEO of Wayne Enterprises. He is motivated by the death of his parents. Voiced by Kevin Conroy.
    2. Dick Grayson/Robin - Batman's sidekick and an ex-circus star who was adopted by Bruce Wayne after his own parents were murdered by Tony Zucco. Voiced by Matthew Lillard and sometimes by Scott Menville.
    3. Alfred Pennyworth - Bruce Wayne's butler. He often assists Batman in the Bat-Cave. Voiced by Alan Oppenheimer.
    4. Commissioner James Gordon - the Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department. He is also Batgirl's father. Voiced by Bob Hastings.
    5. Ralph Vern - a forensic scientist for the Gotham City Police Department. Voiced by Neil Ross.
    6. Art Saddows - a reporter for WGBC, the official station of Gotham City. Voiced by James Patrick Stewart.
    7. Kaye Daye - a crime novelist of whom Daphne Blake is a big fan. Voiced by Janet Montgomery.
  2. Scooby-Doo! Operation Maccabee - a TV show based on Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #5. It features Mystery, Inc. teaming up with Wonder Woman and the Sundance Kids to stop Ares after he sends the Duke of Deception to scare the Amazons. The name comes from the story of Hanukkah. Here are the exclusive main characters for this series:
    1. Princess Diana/Wonder Woman - the princess of the Amazons and Themysciran ambassador to the United States. She trains Daphne and Velma. Voiced by Susan Eisenberg.
    2. Steve Trevor - Wonder Woman's husband and a colonel in the Air Force. Voiced by Nathan Fillion.
    3. Yehuda Cohen - a Mossad agent who serves as liaison to Operation Maccabee. He is a descendent of Judah Maccabee. Voiced by Amir Blumenfeld.
    4. Iannis Schliemann - a Greek-American archaeologist and historian of German descent. He is descended from Heinrich Schliemann. Voiced by John Aniston.
    5. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids - a team of government agents assigned to Operation Maccabee. They go undercover as a rock band. Here are the members:
      1. Butch Cassidy - the leader, lead singer, and guitarist of the Sundance Kids. Voiced by Paul McCartney.
      2. Merilee - the tambourinist and a backup singer for the Sundance Kids. She is also Butch's girlfriend. Voiced by Judy Stringis.
      3. Stephanie - the bass guitarist and another backup singer for the Sundance Kids. Voiced by Kristina Holland.
      4. Wally - Stephanie's brother and the drummer for the Sundance Kids. He hates his job. Voiced by Micky Dolenz.
      5. Elvis - Wally's dog. Voiced by Frank Welker.
      6. Mr. Socrates - a computer who give assignments to Operation Maccabee. He is in charge of the Sundance Kids and is allergic to dogs. Voiced by John Stephenson.
  3. Scooby-Doo and the Super Friends - a TV show based on Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #6. It features Mystery, Inc. as junior Super Friends and features guest stars which are other superheroes. The exclusive main characters are as follows:
    1. Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman - the leader of the Super Friends a.k.a. the Justice League. He is from Krypton. Voiced by George Newbern.
    2. Kara Zor-El/Supergirl - Superman's cousin and sidekick who serves as Shaggy's main love interest in the show. Voiced by Nicholle Tom.
    3. Bruce Wayne/Batman - see above.
    4. Dick Grayson/Robin - see above.
    5. Princess Diana/Wonder Woman - see above.
    6. Orin/Arthur Curry/Aquaman - a superhero and King of Atlantis. Voiced by Miguel Ferrar.
  4. Scooby-Doo! Time Traveler - a TV show based on Issues 7 & 8 of Scooby-Doo! Team-Up. It features Mystery, Inc. traveling through time to different time periods in the past and the future and meeting characters like the Flintstones and the Jetsons. There are no main characters exclusive to this series.

These are the ideas I have so far.

Scooby-Doo! Time Traveler

Scooby-Doo is set for time travel in the next two issues of Scooby-Doo! Team-Up. Issue 7 features the Flintstones and their Stone Age modern world which is probably located in an isolated area of the planet. Issue 8 features the Jetsons and sci-fi future world of 2062. There are clearly many possibilities for time travel issues. Here are some possibilities:

  1. Jabberjaw - One aspect of the cartoon series Jabberjaw is that it is set in the future. With Alberick Einstone's time machine, Mystery, Inc. could explore this future underwater world of 2076. Oh, and Shaggy and Scooby already know Jabberjaw.
  2. Sealab 2020 - Speaking of future underwater worlds, how about a crossover with Sealab 2020? This future is not too far away, and it is happening right now. Not literally, but there are underwater research bases.
  3. Batman Beyond - Who would want to see Terry McGinnis meet Mystery, Inc.? I would. They already know Bruce Wayne anyway.
  4. Legion of Superheroes - The 30th-31st centuries have their own teenage sleuths, the Legion of Superheroes. Teaming up with Mystery, Inc. would be do-able.
  5. Space Ghost - While we are on the subject of that time period, may I mention Space Ghost who is from that same time? Teaming up with superheroes is nothing new to Scooby-Doo. Space Ghost is different. He is from the year 2980, around the same time as the Legion (see above).
  6. The Herculoids - This one would be difficult, but since Zandor, Tara, Dorno, and the Herculoids are friends of Space Ghost, I think it can be done.
  7. Galaxy Trio - This trio of superheroes could definitely help Mystery, Inc. while they are stuck in the future.
  8. Teen Force - These kids from a parallel universe in the future would definitely assist Mystery, Inc.
  9. Mightor - If Mystery, Inc. goes back in time, they could meet Mightor and Tog who might be able to help them.
  10. Valley of the Dinosaurs - While not exactly time travel, Valley of the Dinosaurs comes close.

Bonus. Booster Gold - Although Booster Gold is from the 25th century, he works as a superhero in the present day.

These are just possibilities.
