We just saw what can happen when you change an origin story with Michael Bay's new "Ninja Turtles" farce, so DC might want to watch themselves with this kind of thing.

I was reading Countdown to Infinite Crisis at school the other day, when a kid sitting next to me pointed out how stupid it was that I a comic, knowing that there was no way Batman or Superman was ever going to lose. I shrugged it off, knowing that he wouldn't listen. Later I realized that almost every work of fiction I have ever read, or seen on TV or in a movie, the good guy won. Almost every time. I think we have to remember that it's not always the destination, it's the journey.

@NightFang: Yes, but Clone Wars has decimated some much established canon already, it's fair to assume this is a bunch of BS.

Let me sum up the Clone Wars series in a nutshell for everyone:

Creators: "Oh wow, look at all these amazing stories you have!"

Star Wars Fan: "Yeah, it such an amazing universe we have here!"

Creators: "Well . . . we're going to take it all, put it in a mosh pit, open fire with 50 cal. machine guns, then replace it with a bunch of crap that isn't even remotely related to it!"

They are ruining are universe one piece of canon at a time. Not only did being cut in half not kill this guy, but smashing his spine on the reactor pit wall, and hitting the bottom of the reactor pit didn't kill him either. Gotta love George Lucas' new sellout persona.

Too soon! Issue 6 and we're already uniting against Darkseid? Come on!

You know, I would act really, really butthurt over this, but seeing him with Uncle Ben . . . hard for me to say anything bad about that.

Dragonball was originally and INTENTIONALLY almost completely derived from Journey to the West. Now when you add in the alien origins that came about later and all the other random things that popped up, you could say Dragonball was a little more original. But when comparing origins, at the high risk of being killed over my opinion, I think Superman has to take it.

PS: I love both DBZ and Superman, and am NOT picking favorites.

@Squares: Just curious, have you read the Old Man Logan arc? I've noticed quite a few people that dislike the character end up really enjoying that series. It has become one of my favorite comic arcs of all time, but I am a huge Wolverine fan. It may sway your opinion a little.
