Worst Comic Characters of All Time!

I'm sure some of these characters are somebody out there's fan-favorite. Too bad, these characters suck! They actually make the comics that they are in worse for their presence. They truly are the worst of the worst. Please step up and accept your prize.

List items

  • Pike is a cheap ripoff of Deadpool...who himself is a ripoff of Deathstroke. I love Brandon Choi and Jim Lee's Wildcats but this character had too many panel appearances and not enough character development.

  • "Hey, let's make Wolverine into jailbait." No, no, no. This pathetic mix of fetishistic exploitation and name recognition cash-in is prevalent only in comics and pornography. No matter how many excellent writers take their shot at redeeming this character, she will never ever be anything but a gimmick.

  • Guy is a one-dimensional, winey, angry, out of control brat that no fan I have ever met seems to like. Out of the thousands of Green Lantern Corps members that have appeared in the pages of DC Comics, Guy stands out as the worst of the pack. Yes this includes the evil Sinestro and the generic, lifeless, stump of a man known as Hal Jordan. What's worse? Guy actually got his own ongoing series back in the 90's, while the clearly more deserving character John Stewart never has.

  • Betty Ross herself is a great character. As a non-powered lover of Bruce Banner she added a lot of emotion to the Hulk series in a supporting role. My problem is strictly with Red She-Hulk. She-Hulk and Red Hulk by themselves are really stretching the lines of believability in the hulk lore as it is, but then to come out with a Red She-Hulk? Two adjectives is too many for any super hero name, but especially for a Hulk, cause y'know, words aren't their specialty. Rick Ross has acquired various superpowers over the years, Betty's dad Thunderbolt became Red Hulk, Betty was the one supporting character in the Hulk comics that was a regular person. No more...
