The Possession of Faith Talisker. (Part Two)

The cabal had reached the island of Karpathos located in the Aegean Sea. The island was populated but not overly so, for its size, a perfect place for Byzou to be lurking in shadows. Faith knew that she had reached her moment upon arrival of the Greek island of Karpathos, due to a reliquary she had pilfered off an elder Kabbalist who was known for a healer of the demonic condition, an exorcist.

The reliquary which was kept safe in a glass jar, was a severed finger which reportedly once belonged to Byzou herself. In any case the severed finger did start to show signs of activity upon arrival, it started to twitch and flex as if it were still connected to its former masters very essence.

Faith begun to wonder that if the finger could sense Byzou, perhaps Byzou could also sense this connection and maybe she was aware that someone had come to seek her out. The other members of the cabal were starting to show signs of doubtfulness in Ms Taliskers plan, and some were even beginning to voice out their concerns. Faith was quick to quill these frantic whispers, with cold stares that promised horrible punishment should they not heed her warning. The whispers stop, abruptly.

Traveling now by way of a Van they had rented from the only car rental on the island of Karpathos, the cabal headed inland away from the small city like sea-side townies, towards the country folk who lived further onto the island and had large stretches of land between their homesteads, well large being a relative term for an island of it's size. 125.1 sq miles (324.1 kmĀ²), an island only populated by 7'000 people at the very most.

Once they reach the countryside it becomes very apparent that something vastly unnatural was indeed happening in this place, the people locked themselves inside their dwellings, and refused to give any hospitality to the outsiders. Not the behavior that was considered normal for the people of Karpathos in the slightest sense, these were normally very warm and welcoming people. Upon a closer look and the truth is revealed, there was an unnatural amount of freshly dug graves in this place, small graves, child sized graves.

"Byzou." Faith Talisker says softly, with a honeyed voice, through smiling lips. "At last we will become one."
