@iaconpoint: Really? Ashamed for what? Because we find Superior Spider-Man an interesting concept and take on the character of "Spider-Man" rather than Peter Parker. Don't worry, I'm sure Peter will find a way to be reincarnated - probably in a clone body… hmmm, Kaine's not got much to do now - so why hate on Superior Spider-Man fans when we all know Peter will be back as the Amazing Spider-Man!

Well, if the writing and incredibly expressive and individual artwork is not up to standard once Williams and Haden Blackman leave then this will be a book that I drop like a stone.

Personally I thought it was an okay issue. It was a fun read, but hardly staggering. It sort of reminded me of Next Wave in tone and style (which is no bad thing). I'll give it a couple more issues to let it settle in...

After reading this issue, I feel the cover was such a con... without giving too much away Carrie Kelley felt like an afterthought shoehorned into an issue that, in truth, was dealing with Batman's grief in a logical if somewhat macabre manner. The inclusion of an agent of SHADE was entirely plausible along with Red Robin but the Carrie Kelley elements seemed to be little more than retconning, a way of teasing the fans when instead they need to get through losing Damian as much as Bruce does.

So says the man who posted a comment! Please don't be so insulting when some of us have bothered to be objectively critical rather than downright insulting.

I won't state the obvious comparision, but what I will ask is: where is the originality in this idea? Surely, with the setting up of a new comic universe, we should be seeing fresh and interesting characters that pique our interest and grow our loyalty through fantastic storytelling and character development. To me, this is a wasted opportunity.
