I'm weirded out by this post and response to it. Seeing as how I just read the original Days of Future past a few months ago, Wolverine isn't the main character. He's barely in it. Its pretty much all about Kitty Pryde. Future Wolverine dies midway through it. Normal day Wolverine has little to no actual role in it.

X1 and X2 are okay movies. The comic book movies of the last decade have proved that they really were just stepping stones whose only prominent quality was they were stepping stones. Otherwise they really aren't very good.

While I enjoy Hugh Jackman's Wolverine the simple fact is the man's a foot too tall and has a severe lack of body hair. Topple that with this idea that comic fans have gotten over the last 10 years that Jean is his one and truly as opposed to all the other women in his life (most notably the one that better be in The Wolverine) and I become pretty sad.

X-Men First Class in my opinion was the first good X-Men movie. Its on the track with the right mindset. Sure it had a lot of problems but in the wake of how right Xavier and Magneto were, I can ignore the problems the movie had (most notably Beast).

I'm actually pretty horrified Bryan Singer is back on board and I'm more horrified he's going to cram the movie full of past characters. I would think getting as far away from X1-3 is exactly what the X universe needs to do.

X-Men should easily have the best comic book movie ever written because of the richness of the source material and characters, yet they're pretty much at the bottom of the list of decent comic book movies.

The IDW Silent Hill comics are actually the best. The especially the first few they did. Any fan of Silent Hill should check them out.

I know you're not criticizing it by bringing up the question if its too different, but at the same time that's always been the case when translating X-Men to a screen. The 90's cartoon was really the closet to the comics as far as plot beats go and it wasn't all that great. X-Men Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men were fantastic but completely different from their comic counterparts. While X-Men Evolution had the essence of some of the characters down, Wolverine and the X-Men ditched off any and all personality and event similarities in favor of just keeping the costumes. In a way, I would argue the X-Men anime series is the most true to the franchise outside of the 90's Fox series.

Nova Prime, Mr Richard "Blue Blazes" Rider himself. The series could take a Bleach style approach with the first season on Earth and the second season in Space. Every cosmic villain under the sun could appear plus they could bring The Sphinx back in a major way. Add the tentacles of the caner-verse to that and actually I'll stop that thought right there. Heck they could pull a Berserk and introduce the New Warriors through season 1 only to have them killed by the end. Add to all this the constant theme of Nova having to give up his power for the greater good only and there's a TON to work with there. Plus I mean come on, his other villains are what: Annihilus, Thanos, Ultron, cancer-verse and his buddies are the Guardians of the Galaxy. And who wouldn't want Rocket Raccoon and Groot in an anime. Nova is the vehicle for all this.

Yeah I really didn't like the first movie. Everything about it was just bad. The directors for Spirit of Vengeance have gone on record saying they ignored the comics in their entirety. If I were to see this film, it would only be for the action and Cage acting like a lunatic. I'll probably wait for it to show up on Netflix.

I can buy this but why blow up a football field? Is there some blow up Gotham device hidden under it?

I'm really interested but dear god does Wolverine always have to be at the center of everything?

The last movie basically crapped in my eyes. Surprisingly enough, this one actually looks good. I'm a big fan of the GI Joe comics and while the first movie skewered any hope of them pulling one of the good story lines from the comics, Zartan as the President with no sign of the power ranger villain versions of Cobra Commander and Destro is already a plus. Add in Jinx and one of the Wu Tang Clan as her trainer? And the Rock? At least this can be a bad good movie.
