The Second Villain within the Avengers film.

By now everybody already knows that the primary villain within the upcoming Avengers film is Loki. But a lot of questions are quickly rising as to who/what the team of heroes are fighting against in the trailer. Most people claim it was the Skrulls, yet it's mentioned that it wasn’t Skrulls nor any Asgardian-related army of any kind.
But… there are very few people who are catching onto how Loki’s army strongly resembles an insectoid race,….which strongly results with the possibility that we would be seeing something of an Annihilation Wave in this film.
It’s also seen that Loki has something of an object with him that’s possibly another valuable object within the Marvel Universe known as the Cosmic Control Rod, which could be an altered Cosmic Cube. Even though both may not look the same, but seeing how Hollywood has altered their Marvel films different from what we usually read,…. It could be the one thing that Loki has to control this army we see within the films. Personally I believe that this film has somehow transformed the Cosmic Cube into the Cosmic Control Rod.
Possibly the whole premise of this movie is that Loki (in disguise) managed to use the Cosmic Cube as a way to open an extra dimensional portal, possibly the Negative Zone, to unleash an army upon the world. Because of this, Nick Fury is forced into forming the Avengers to fight against this threat. But, an internet rumor claims that the Avengers may find itself facing something different when Loki’s extra dimensional tampering found itself unleashing more than a wave of aliens, when our mysterious second villain finds itself becoming the true threat of the film.
As for Annihilus making his debut in this movie,…even though I’m seeing something that strongly resembles the Annihilation Wave, for some reason I feel that it may be another villain, it’s strongly rumored that Thanos was to be the second villain as well.
