The grimm city sinner.
"You believe in Resurrection? Reincarnation? If you don't, well then I have news for you.."
The man opens his eyes, sweaty, cold and naked. His head was a jackhammer and his heart was covered in barbed wire, lungs were ablaze, these were the first few breaths of life. "It was quick to guess I am in a hospital, last time I check nobody else tends to keep a few dozen bodies lying around on slabs..". The man sat up and looked around at the blanketed corpses, the bland green tiles and dingy florescent lights brought the pale of the dead flesh to full bloom. "So either im in hell, or I had a hell of a night yesterday..". The man got up after eyeing the room to make sure nobody saw his exposed naked body, walking towards the sink and mirror, filling his palms with icy water and splashing it on his apparent stubbly face. Upon looking up, the man was almost surprised to see a face there, almost like he didn't expect it. After a few moments, he took his hand and rubbed it against his cheek. "Oh great...I have no idea who I am...I don't know my name even...". His discovery was interrupted when he heard the rusty hinges of the morgue door swing open.
The corpse examiner walked in with a loud yawn, coffee in one hand, clipboard in the other. As soon as he passed a darkened doorway, he found an arm grappling onto him and a bone saw pressed tightly against his neck. The nameless man clenched the handle of the bone saw hard as he held it to the employees neck. "...Evening..." He said with a chill crisp calm in his voice, noticing that's the first time he has heard it himself. The man dropped his coffee and clipboard on the floor, breathing was all over the place. "Listen I don't want any trouble, j-just take my wallet and please leave..". The frantic man pulled his wallet out of his pocket and the nameless man quickly swiped it, remembering he doesn't have any pockets. "Keys, to your work locker, now..." He said harshly while letting the saw ever so slightly draw blood from the mans neck. The man started to sob a bit while next holding up his ring of keys, nameless took them as well. "Much obliged, goodnight.." Nameless muttered before slamming the hilt of the saw on the back of his hostage's head, knocking him out cold.
It took him a few minutes to find the locker room, from the lack of people, he had assumed it was pretty late in the evening, graveyard shift. Matching the number on the key to the locker, he quickly swung it open, a smirk running across his face. "Leather jacket, grey shirt, black jeans...And red chucks? Today is my lucky day..". Nameless quickly got dressed and opened the mans wallet, seeing car keys and 700$ in cash. The the hammer being pulled back on a pistol could be heard through the locker room, nameless simply looking up with his eyes. What he saw was two overweight security guards, pistols fixed on him. "Try anything funny and we will kneecap you, little shit.." One of the barked, nameless grinned while raising his hands, wallet slipping between his fingers to slap against the tile floor. One of them walked over to nameless and started by forcing him on his knees and slapped some cuffs on his wrists behind his back. "Might as well squeeze a little Intel out of the two moronic f*cks that think they are cops..". Nameless cleared his throat, looking dead at the one in front of him still with his pistol fixed for nameless's dome. "So, what jail you think they will take a little shit like me?" He asked sarcastically. The guard chuckled "Ehh probably Grimm cities lower class big house, where all the little shits go, just like you.." The guard gestures his gun at nameless. "Grimm city eh? Well that is a start, alright, bored now..".
As soon as the cuffs clicked onto his wrists, nameless used the chain to wrap around the guard's one arm, then spinning to send the top heavy man into his partner, knocking them both over. "Shit! Don't let him get away!" Yelled the one on his back, firing his pistol at the fleeing suspect. "At least I know im fit, hell im quicker then I expected..". The two men lost sight of their criminal, getting up and looking through the rows of lockers. Finally they got split up, after a few moments, one of them got a tap on the shoulder. As soon as the man turned around, he got an a large dose of AXE body spray to the face, causing him to scream and lose balance, nameless using that time to grab one of the nearest locker doors and slamming it into his face. Nameless grabbed hold of the man's wrist just in time for the other guard to turn the corner, gun blazing at him. Nameless tugged the man by the wrist towards him and used him as a meat shield for the four slugs his partner fired down the isle. As soon as the firing halted when his partner realized he shot his friend, nameless yanked the gun out of his shields now limp hand and fired two rounds into one knee cap, one in the other.
"AAAAH F*CK!" He cried out while dropping to the floor, gun sliding across the tile floor out of reach. Nameless dropped the useful corpse and started to walk towards the guard, still handcuffed. "What was it you were calling me just then? A little shit right? You seem to like that saying alot.." Nameless looked over to an open locker, gently grabbing the straight shaving razor from inside and opening it. "You know what they say, sayings look good on the bod..". Nameless's shadow now loomed over the guard filled with terror...
"It was twenty minutes before I was done with him. The anger from not knowing who the hell I am, the anger of waking up among a bunch of corpses, anger from almost getting shot. It all went into torturing him. I was merciful, an angel with a razor you could say, shallow cuts, his earlobe lopped off..Superficial stuff. I think he will like having the words "Little shit" carved into his forehead the most though..My masterpiece, so far..".
"I walk down the hallways of the hospital, enjoying the sweet nicotine of the pack of cigarettes I found in the jacket. The garage was only ten minutes from the locker room..."
Nameless glares at it for a few minutes, it was a piece of junk, but at least it was a way out. He walked towards the rust bucket of a 72 camaro and used the keys to unlock the hunk of junk and hopped in. "Searching through the mess inside of the car, I find 500 bucks, a switchblade a zippo lighter. Could have done better, could have done worse...". Nameless starts the car and burns rubber out of the hospital complex, into the dark of Grimm city. Upon speeding down the lanes, the man with no name has a cigarette and a thought. "Was this who I was before I lost my memory? How else could I have pulled off taking down those security f*cks? You need training to have a first reaction to be using a human being as a bullet sponge...This had to have been me..Why? Cause it felt good, god damn, did it feel good. The freedom, the thrill, the adrenaline. It was all like coffee in the morning..Whatever, I can worry about that sh!t later..I need a place to stay..".
The man with no name speeds down the freeway.
"Been two hours since I split the hospital, my head was still filled with fog on who the hell I could be. I could be a father, a husband, a salesman for Christ's sake..But I doubt it, this criminal nature that I have says that there is a pretty low chance of that...I smoked a whole twenty pack of cigarettes to perform a failed attempt at calming my nerves, not only that, I only noticed now that the little red tick on the gas meter tapped on that damned capital E..."
Nameless sighed as the car started to gurgle and give out, the car slowing down significantly. And with that, the camaro was dead on the side of the road. The nameless man got out of the car and walked over to the trunk, bumping his fist on it so it would pop.
"What a mess, this kid had a lot of useless crap...Porno mags, empty cigarette packs, beer cans..Empty..Of course luckily, there was an empty gas can. I also notice the rusty tire iron stuffed in the back, I shelter it in my inner coat pocket. I tie up my red chucks and start to walk down the road into the night. That is until I looked up and noticed no moon...The sky was covered in a smog..Hell I think it was daytime, the pollution was so thick, it made it night...Jesus..."
Nameless finally made it to a roadside gas station, it was rather empty, no cars in sight. After a quick observation, he walked over to the pump and stuck the hose in the can, letting it slowly fill up. Nameless's hands were in his pockets, defenses lowered enough for someone to point a gun at the back of his head and pull the hammer back.
"Im almost surprised the guy got the jump on me, I feel like my senses should have been more acute, I make up for it by profiling my temporary captor. The sound of the hammer being pulled back made a rather heavy click, a Springfield armory 1911, I hear another click, the clown was pointing two pistols at the back of my skull. His breathing was muffled, a mask of some kind...A heist, and I was about to be a hostage. I oblige to his fine weapons by raising my hands in the air, keeping my cool..."
Nameless's expression was blank, but still quipped at his current situation. "Say, those are a pair of fine handguns you got there, im guessing someone bought them for you?" He said with a brisk cool. The goon pressed the barrel against the amnesiac's head. "Very funny, now be a good little btch and get inside the store.." The kid said with confidence. Nameless went along with it as he slowly walked towards the entrance, noticing a few more masked men walking past him with shotguns and uzis, kicking in the glass door and pointing them at the older store clerk. Nameless and his captor stood a bit behind the group of five.
"Alright Ramaro..We know you have it, and while your getting it, feel free to empty the register.." Barked one of the gunmen.
"Six men, all with high grade street weapons. It doesn't take a clever man to see this isn't a normal robbery. The clerk was calm, hell he was pure ice, like he was expecting them. He just stared at the young men for a bit, before reaching for a piece under the counter, the goons responded by lighting him up with lead..."
The old man screamed in pain while falling to the ground, instantly a couple of the thugs hopped the counter and started looking, before the found a trap door and climbed down into it. "Eh boys I think we found it!" Yelled one of them from down the hatch, the other three men quickly got over the counter and down in the hatch. Nameless's captor pushed his gun against his head one more time to get him moving forward.
"Just me and him now, just the way I like to operate.."
Nameless casually jolts backwards until his back was against the man's chest, the man's arm now over Nameless's shoulder. He grabs him by the wrist and brings his arm down to bend on his shoulder, making a nasty snapping noise. As soon as the captor was going to scream, Nameless hushed him by sending the back of his head right into his nose and mouth, knocking him out cold.
"These guys are in over their head, I just took one out in two moves, obviously some rich bastard wanted expendables...Hmm...Those really are nice handguns...I grab both of them and give them a bit a finger play to get acquainted, I would say it was meant to be. I am still surprised by my own face in the reflection of the fine silver that encased the barrel. Enough ogling though, time to see what all the fuss was about.."
Nameless drops down the hatch to find himself in a stone tunnel, the walls littered with posters detailing the rum running days, the voices of the goons were up ahead. He cautiously walks down the tunnel, leaning up against a wall to observe the men looking down at something on a wooden table in what seemed to be a bomb shelter.
"What the hell? What did I stumble on here?"
"Sht man, Roberts is all bothered over this? You gotta be kiddin' me!" Yelled one of them while complaining at what he saw. Another one of them smacked him upside the head. "We need these numbers so that the boss's plan will come into full motion! So yeah! All bothered over these.." Yelled another.
"This doesn't concern me..I can just leave, get back to my car and get to down town...But I don't..Something inside of me feels like I need to know what they are looking at...So I start to plan..."
A few minutes later, the goons put what they were looking for in a tin case and start to exit the bomb shelter, the one carrying the case up front. As soon as the man stepped out the exit, Nameless turned the corner and grabbed onto the case, pressing his gun up against his face and pulling the trigger, sending his now dead bod into the rest of the group. This gave Nameless enough time to slam the steel door shut and lock it.
"I light a cigarette as I hear them bang on the door, no doubt once they get out, they would rat me out to their "boss"...I couldn't let that happen. I filled up a gas can that the gas station had, and poured it's contents under the crack of the metal door, seeping into the bomb shelter. I wait until I am almost done my cigarette before I hesitate for a second to drop it on the flammable liquid that was now leading into the shelter...But like I said...I hesitate for just a second..."
Nameless drops the cancer stick on the puddle of gasoline and watch the freshly lit flame shoot under the crack of the door, no doubt lighting the rest of the shelter on fire, a brutal death trap. Nameless climbs up the hatch before he opens the tin box, seeing it was filled with papers that had a list of phone numbers located in Grimm city. Confused, he looked over to the unconscious man that was his captor earlier....
The man wakes up, finding himself bound to a chair inside the work shed behind the gas station. Nameless leaned back in a chair, his red chucks kicked up on a wooden counter. "W-what the fck man! Untie me you bastard!" He yelled while struggling. Nameless slowly got up and held the papers in front of the man's face. "I know you at least have a slight idea what these phone numbers are for..Start talking..." He said as cold as a Russian winter. The goon simply chuckled and spat on the paper. "Fck you man, you think im a squealer? Think again asshole!". Nameless shook his head while smirking slightly, taking off his leather jacket and hanging it up on a rusty hoist. "Now..I am running a few things through my head that would make you squeal..Not as in giving me info, I know you will...No I mean squeal in pain..Then I found my little friend here.." Nameless said casually while holding up a rat by it's tail, dropping it into a metal bucket, then grabbing duct tape off the work table and taping the bucket to the man's chest. "Of sht are you crazy! You son of a btch get this thing offa' me!" He yelled while again trying to break free. Nameless ignored his pleas while walking back over to the counter and grabbing a blowtorch.
"Now, I know what your thinking. A rat in a bucket? Nah that isn't so bad..Did you know rats can chew through metal? But lets be realistic, im pretty sure that furry little devil isn't even close to considering the option of scratching and gnawing through your chest cavity to get out of that bucket..But you think he would be desperate enough if I held this torch to the bucket and made it all hot? Lets find out..". Nameless had a blank expression on as he held the torch to the side of the bucket, noises of the rat squeaking could be heard, followed by the sound of scratching. "OHHHH! Ahh CHRIST! HE"S BITING MEEEE!" The man yelled while going into a fit and thrashing his tied body about. Nameless didn't pay attention to him, only saying "Info please, I think our friend isn't liking it in their anymore..". The bucket started to get red hot, not only was the rat clawing like crazy at the man's flesh, but the rim of the bucket was now branding his chest. The smell of sizzling flesh filled the shed. "OK OK OK OK OK! I'll tell you what I know!" The goon yelled in hopes that Nameless would stop, he didn't. "Hurry up and start talking then, cause Im not stopping until I hear what I want to hear.." He said harshly. "Ok! AAAAUGH! Th-The numbers are for a bunch of houses that belong to other gangs and mobs! We had an Irish bomb maker install the phones for these places so that when w-AAAH GOD!...S-s-s-s-ssssoo that when we call the-HNNG! Them..A bunch of bombs go off in the houses walls! Our bomb maker had a change of heart at the end of the job, and hid the list of numbers so that we would never use it! THAT"S ALL I KNOOOOW!" The man started to weep, Nameless finally flicked the torch off and stepped back. "These houses, public areas im guessing? Explosions would cause alot of splash damage on innocents and houses right?" Nameless stuck one hand in his back pocket. The goon started to laugh sadistically, gaining the strength to speak. "WELL DUH! Orphanages! HOSPITALS! All of the sort are ready to blow, anything affiliated to a rival mob is going down! And you can't do sht about it you ba-" The goon didn't finish his sentance on the event of Nameless putting a bullet in his skull....
"I burn down the gas station... Can't leave any evidence that I was around, police are no doubt looking for the man that carved that guard back at the hospital, that man being me...I came to the realization that I was going to stop this from happening..I wasn't a hero for doing this, I didn't care about the hospitals or the orphanages...I cared that some asshole planned it, some asshole thinks that he owns this town...Nobody owns this town, and I wont let anybody think they can try. I am not the hero, im not the villain...I am the equalizer for this city, after all...You can't do justice, without sin..."
Nameless carried the now full gas can down the road, heading back to his car...
