About 10 minutes into the show things went crazy for me at work, and by the time I finally got home, the show had just ended. I was very sad. But now I guess I can watch the show this weekend. Yay!
The only good thing about this is that, given that this is not a particularly important book, I would be shocked if any writer in the future bothered to acknowledge this as part of Rogue's story. If major plot points that are well-remembered no longer work, writers have to go to the trouble of retconning them, but this seems like the sort of situation where it will just be ignored in any future discussion of Rogue and her relationships.
Mark Millar is unbearably obnoxious, but I can't decide if that is why I like him or if it's why I hate him. In general, I think I'll be better off ignoring things that he says and judging his work on its own.
Unfortunately /Film says they got updated info that this isn't happening: http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/04/29/warner-bros-reportedly-developing-film-based-on-comic-series-starman/
Holy poo, I finally got it to work. No idea what I did differently this time, but I can now cling to my victory. Sweet, meaningless victory. Thanks all.
@courtney12490 Odd, I've been the first to comment on a video already, so I was thinking the problem may have been that I didn't watch it. But maybe I was on like the wrong version of the video page or something? Harumph.
@Jotham Interesting. I hope I don't have to say "First!" for it to count, because really, that's almost not worth it. Perhaps I have to watch the video all the way through first? Or as @joshmightbe suggests, maybe just first to watch? Or first to watch and comment? If only I didn't have a job, I could figure this out.
