I am curious for folks who deem George Perez's art as awful and not up to his normal standards, who do they consider better?

It's George friggin Perez people!!

interesting take Babs, I like this version of Catwoman because she is flawed and is far from perfect. While the Catwoman in the past was confident, sultry and just always managed to stay a half a step out of your reach unless she wanted you to catch her,and she would be gone again just as quickly

But this 52 version is a nice blend of sexiness, loneliness and reckless in her adventures, and while she hasn't grown from the experience, to see her reaction to Lola's death was very intense.

I am looking forward to what a new team can bring for the next 12 months however

not a fan of the art style on this, that may make me drop the book before anything else, as I am having a hard time liking the uniform as it is lol

I do however like her hair in the comic as opposed to the covers

this book drives me insane.

For on one hand if it is a book about the "Movie" Avengers in their universe then this is a fun read. BUT if they are trying to tie the events of this book into the main universe this is a piece of sloppy writing in the highest order.

1) HULK doesn't act that way

2) When does this tale take place

If the Avengers are knee deep in dealing with the X-men, and as last we knew the Gaurdians of the Galaxy where wearing matching uniforms ( a small gripe, I know) and star lord, thanos, and nova were all trapped ( yes, I said TRAPPED) In the cancer verse

When would this have taken place??

They really dropped the ball on this book by not making it clear where it stands in the grand scheme, Because how can you not love Marc Bagley on the Avengers?

The more and more time moves on I am thinking they really need a new creative vision at Marvel and get the House of Ideas in order

From top to bottom this is probably the most solid collection to date, all of the entries are excellent. The Spider-villians, Wonder Woman and Birthday cake, Lady Sif, and the Robin's all excellent stuff

Yikes,,,some rough looking artwork

And yes, thanks to Ultimate Spider-Man, I cannot stand the idea of Sam being NOVA!! Just when Rich was getting his due. they pull this stunt.

Again..i will read the stories to see where it goes, but not liking the ideas so far

what burns me most about NICK FURY JR ( and last time I will be referring to him by that name..)

It reminds of a old saying around my house

"don't piss on my back and say it is raining"

I get it, you want to maximize the exposure of The Avengers, and to the casual fan, the very idea of a White Nick Fury just is too damn confusing. But the execution is just bush-league and lazy. They should have made The Ultimate Fury come over to the 616 universe in the 'SPIDER-MEN' book

But all that being said, I am for change and progression, in this regards I always looked at DC with the aging of the sidekicks, while characters like Kitty Pyrde, Nova, Human Torch and even Spider-man just never seemed to grow older.

However making changes for the sake of change or worse just making poor choices when you change does nothing but hurt a enjoyable product.

I am a comic book fan for life, and I will want to see how this goes, but this isn't something I am excited for sadly
