In theaters, Amazing Spider-Man 2 (though, later today I'm going to see Transformers: Age of Extinction).

In general, Man of Steel.

@mrdecepticonleader: There already talks about it being a sequel long before this movie was being made. They said its the last Bay movie, but not the last in the franchise just yet. Does it make you feel a little better?

BTW Have you seen the latest TMNT trailer? What did you think of Shredder?

Not really since it will turn out Bay will be involved somehow. Well if it is the last Bay movie then I would hope another one would not be a sequel. And just a new director new start.

He looks okay I guess too many spike I think. Though the twist (?) in that new trailer was something. Heh maybe Baxter Stockman will be Shredder :)

I really hope that AoE is the last Bayformers film. I personally wouldn't mind if the next director remained in the same universe, but I just think Bay needs to go. I'm going to see the film later today, but it is a real shame to hear it get so much negative attention, especially since this year is the 30th anniversary of the franchise. I was hoping it would be a nice way to celebrate the anniversary, but I guess it just shows that Bay really doesn't have respect for the franchise at all.

Also, speaking of Bay, what would you say if I told you I think he hasn't ruined the franchise as badly as everyone says? I say this because his films did help make the franchise more popular, and they did have some influence in Transformers Prime, which I think is tied with Beast Wars as best Transformers shows, and I liked the comics by IDW which are based in the movie universe. In fact, it was actually because of the films that I found out about the comics in the first place, because at the time of the first film I found out there was some prequel comic made by IDW and from there I learned of the ongoing series. So, I feel he has had some positive impact on the franchise, but the films themselves aren't that good. But what do you think?

I can only imagine the hate Bay is getting right now. Considering I'm a guy who at least enjoyed his films and doesn't think he's ruined the franchise as bad as others, and looking at how I'm feeling right now towards Bay, I can only imagine the deep hatred he's getting from people who aren't as tolerant as me and who think he has absolutely destroyed the franchise.

The reason I say he hasn't ruined it as bad as people think is because I feel Bay did help make the franchise more popular, and his films did influence Transformers Prime, which is my favorite Transformers show tied with Beast Wars. There are also a few comics from IDW based in the film universe which I enjoyed. So I feel he has had a positive impact on the franchise in some ways.

That being said, the lack of respect he shows for the franchise, the way he just does whatever he feels like with the excessive amount of action, portrayal of women, and crude jokes I admit have given the franchise a bad name and I imagine anyone who knows nothing about the franchise may get a bad impression of it if his films are all they have ever accessed.

@cf12793: I guess. I do remember the first one was actually pretty well received when it first came out. Part of the negative reception it gets could just be because of the sequels. I will also admit that my favorite thing about these films is just seeing the Transformers on screen. As one guy from IGN said, they may not be very good movies but it is still cool to see the robots in live-action on the big screen. It's just too bad they really haven't been done justice because of the director doing whatever he feels like with the franchise rather than giving it the respect I feel it deserves.

Dang. Age of Extinction has 13% on RT. Granted, I don't really listen to them but it's depressing to see it have the lowest score of the series. Really unfortunate too that this year is the 30th anniversary of the Transformers franchise, and Bay doesn't seem to care at all. I've said before that I actually enjoyed the Transformers films, but I acknowledge they are bad films. For once, I was hoping for a Transformers movie that I could actually call a genuinely good movie that I enjoyed at the same time, but I guess not.

At the very least, I heard this is the last Transformers movie Michael Bay will direct so if they make another film (which I'm sure they will) at least I can hope they'll get a better director.

...that sucks dude. -_-

Yeah. I'm still gonna see the film tomorrow, but I really, really hope Michael Bay has nothing to do with the franchise again after this. I don't think he has ruined the franchise as bad as a lot of other people say, but I admit he has given it a bad name with the way he treats it.

Can't believe UFC 175 is only about a week away. I'm so pumped for it. I hope Machida kicks Weidman's a$$.

#RIPSouljaBoy is trending on twitter. Not sure why. Probably some kind of hoax or something.
