You can't possibly think this is the worst idea ever. At least it doesn't take itself too seriously. I mean the guy could have tried to pass it off with some really lengthy explanation about how the monkey is a metaphor...blah. No. He said it sounds like a joke, it looks like a joke, and guess what? Its because it IS a joke and it CAME FROM a joke. Good. Fine. Dandy. I like it. I think it will be funny. You cannot tell me this is the worst thingyouve seen in comic books in the last ten years. (do you remember trying to follow the plot of Final Crisis?) Recognize the hilarity of a monkey, our evolutionary inferior, taking us out. Imagine the banter, the jokes...and to premier with Spidey and The One and Only Merc with a Mouth, the two most wise-crackingist of Marvel characters. I can taste the one liners. Sweet.
Its a Monkey dual wielding desert eagles. If we criticize the comic book industry for new and nutty ideas then it will stop creating ideas. Brilliant or Nutty. There wont be anymore. Monkey. Guns. I feel like if i say it more you will finally just get it. Theres a punchline in there somewhere.
