@Mr Marvel82: Hey, thanks for the comment! I'm assuming "1 up" means bad parts of the video? I'm sorry I don't know that term >.<

Haha. I'm sorry. "1 up" means just the opposite. Those are the parts of the video that I enjoyed the most. I liked the somewhat subtle details :D

I'd recommend back-tracking a bit, to Grant Morrison's New X-men. The art and story is a nice contrast to Astonishing. Also, if you're into good art, check out X-treme X-men (takes place at the same time as New X-men.) Salvador Larroca is one of my favorite comic book artists.

Good luck!

I'm a huge fan of Phoenix (Jean) She gets points for storing Charles mind within her brain while fighting off a nano-infection during Morrison's run.

Nate Grey gets points for being badass and a shaman and such.

Quentin Quire gets points for creating a psychic gun, inspired by Betsy's psychic knife. :D

The Cuckoos get points for infiltrating the Mansion and causing none of the Senior Staff (including Jean, Charles, and Emma) to question where the heck they came from.

The verdict- Telepaths are awesome. Who cares which is the best!

I am loving the artwork in Generation Hope 16 and 17 (April and May so this post is somewhat spoilery..)

Generation Hope 16
Generation Hope 16

His style matches the ages of the characters in the story. There's not a lot of big muscles on the guys, big boobs on the girls or big ridiculous hair. The art clearly shows his Asian influence, but is very distinct from most Manga. It almost reminds me of some of Carlos Pacheco's earlier work with X-men.

By the time the big battle is brewing, I don't even notice there's practically no background landscape in the panels. See for yourself. What do you think?

Very nice!

1 up- The shakiness of the camera while the thief is running

1 up- The shot where Cyclops is punched and his blasts shoot the ceilling

1 up- The sound in that shot

1 up- The bits of debris that fall in that shot

I like Jean's empathic side as juxtaposed with her enormous temper.   I remember a moment in New X-men, when she knelt down and smiled to telepathically introduce herself to Dust.  It was pretty sweet since she could sense that Dust was scared.  So she's the hottest.
Also Katherine Disher has not voiced the other ladies as far as I know.  And that gives 90's animated Jean an huge edge over Rachel and Hope!

I'm with extrememage.  I like the Cuckoos being a trio.  And as Jean Grey has proved, continuous death and ressurrection gets real old real fast.

I'll be happy when/ if Jean returns... On a separate note, it appears Onslaught will be returning early next year.  If Marvel can bring him back, surely they can explain what a white hot room is, and remove Jean from it's confines.

I'm really fond of the variant Mindee's shown in here:

The neckpiece and middrift looks like a homage to Emma Frost's New X-men Uniform.
