Without a doubt my favorite all-time artist (as well as a fine storyteller in his own right).

Although his unorthodox, ever-shifting style can seem a bit schizophrenic at times - as well as a little hit-and-miss for some people's taste - I still hold firm in my opinion that he is one of my favorites, as well as possessing a style that can almost literally be called inimitable.

Another mastermind on the 'artist/writer' double-bill, Cooke's 'The New Frontier' is still a classic, as well as being a rare example of a modern comic that can actually make the claim of being 'a comic for all ages' and REALLY mean it.

Despite being one of the remnants of the samey, Jim Lee-copying (although I have nothing against Lee as an artist either - I swear!), Liefeld-worshipping, Wizard-helmed vestiges of 90s, his art - including his unique penchant for the use of sharper facial features - is actually pretty good, and it was his artwork that reintroduced me to Moon Knight as a relevant superhero.

Master of his own unique, Burtonesque style of penciling, his mixture of warped wonder and gritty edge make him a creative force to be reckoned with - although, in retrospect, some less imaginative observers might be willing to describe him as 'a subtler Sam Kieth'.
