An Aquaman movie? From HBO's Entourage plot line to reality.

Let's see if they can get James Cameron to direct it (just like in Entourage). And always save a part for Johnny Drama. "Victory!!!"

I definitely think it's THANOS related.......remember, they need to amp-up his visibility for the Phase 2 run of movies leading into Avengers 2. And THANOS loves and worships Death......soooo, there you go.

Marvel sees itself as a leader.....ripping off the Walking Dead and doing something Zombie related in the Marvel Universe would come across as waaaay too cheesy of a copy-cat thing.

LOL.....non-story. It doesn't matter what Spidey's eye-wear or mask will look like......because he'll just run around for more than 1/2 the movie without a mask on.......so that all the teenage girls can see just how dreamy Andrew Garfield is.

Seriously, go back and check out all the screen time that Spider-Man is without a mask on it that movie...and for no real, discernible reason, either.

It's like Sony was trying to tap into that big "Twilight" money with The Amazing Spider-Man. Remember, the Twilight series was red-hot when they first began working on ASM around 2009 or so (before Joss Whedon showed everyone how to make a real super-hero movie). Can you just hear the Sony/Paramount studio execs saying, "It'll be like Twilight, only with Superheroes. It can't lose!"

Three girls, a love triangle, a dreamy Spider-Man w/no mask on, Peter's hunky friend Harry coming back....cue Twilight theme. Now they just need to roll out Dr. Michael Morbius so that they can actually have vampires, too....

Here's my prediction on the inevitable and very lame conclusion to this storyline........around issue No. 14 or 15 or so, of Superior Spider-Man, Octavious Spider-Man will a very brief dream where Peter Parker haunts him. These dreams gradually become more intense and repeat/re-occur with regularity as the subsequent issues unfold.......where it begins to slowly reveal that Peter's buried subsconsious is trapped deep within his mind and his mind is fighting its way back to the surface......

At the end of issue No. 24 of Superior Spider-Man, Otto inexplicably drops over and falls into a sudden coma. The issue ends with a cliffhanger of subconscious imagery showing Otto Octavious and Peter Parker squaring off face-to-face on a battlefield of dream clouds -- both dressed in Spider-Man outfits......with Spidey suits-on, but masks off.....and of course, the Otto Spider-Man has his old Otto head and octopus arms on a Spider-Man body....the subconscious Peter has both fists clenched and screams, "You've stolen everything that's ever belonged to me, Octopus....and now I'm reclaiming what's mine......once and for all!" (Issue ends on that note.....)

In the special, and much-hyped No. 25"Anniversary Issue" of Superior Spider-Man ---- it features an all-out subconscious "mental" fist fight between Octopus Spider-Man and Peter Parker......a climactic subconscious battle that Parker wins and re-assumes the mantel of Spider-Man. Otto is now supposedly dead for real, and Spider-Man wakes from his coma. Peter has lot's of explaining to do and damage repair for all his odd behavior the last two years (caused by Otto Spider-Man). Fans rejoice that Peter is back after a two-year absence and a revitalized Spider-Man returns to his wise-cracking ways. Fine'.

Take that to the bank, folks. Lame......

@The Stegman: Not a bad idea you have....I'd be open to that. There have been a ton of good suggestions in this thread....all that would be better than just Darkseid with parademons...........Like I said, I love Darkseid as a badd-ass, but the problem with Darkseid in JLA movie would be that both movies debut in 2015......It'd seem just like "Meteor" vs "Armageddon" when both those stinker flicks came our at the same time. Eeef.

Wow, they just can't do DARKSEID in this movie.....Darkseid and his parademons will seem like a direct ripoff of Thanos and the Chitauri invasion. Even though we who are into comic books know better, you have to remember that 75% of the ticket buying audience will be unfamiliar with the comic books at any level. So it will come across as a total ripoff. Darkseid's one of my favorites, but they can't do it.

I would go a super-villain team route and do a Legion of Doom type of thing --- using General Zod, the baddie from Superman, as a launch point. Have Luthor be the main organizer ----- and have the villains attacking various things separately before Batman pieces it all together as one, coordinated society of villains. Besides, the villain team thing hasn't really been done yet.....at least not done well. (Not counting the X-men movies.)

Go all in and use a devastating team of cool bad-guys as the Legion. The main thing is to have a role for each JLA member to play......Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Flash, etc.....can't just be there in the background. They need to have a reason to be in the fight. It would take good writing, but they can pull it together. Darkseid can come later.

Finally......Fox studios gets their head's out of their backsides and hires someone who knows Marvel comics and won't advocate those trainwrecks of movies that Fox puts out. Those first three X-Men movies were an a total Emil Blonski.

Millar writes in a cinematic style and has great vision for Marvel characters. The first 12 issues of the Vol I of The Ultimates was groundbreaking --- and really --- was the stage-setter for which The Avengers phase I movie was built.....just look at Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury.....that was Millar telling Hitch that he wanted a "Samuel Jackson looking character".....or the Chitauri invasion, also Millar. Mark Millar knows his stuff.....so long as Fox Studios let's him do his thing and doesn't override his suggestions, they'll dramatically change things around with those franchises.

Amazing what a Billion Dollars in Disney Avengers revenue can do to the perspective of another major movie studio, hey? This is good news for comic book fans.

Tpo funny......I have no problem with what Evan's said.....but man, he sounds exactly like Vincent Chase from Entourage when Vinny was doing the Aquaman.movie.

Art imitates Entourage.

This storyline seems almost intentionally lame. I would trust that Dan Slott has something good planned for it. He's one of the best and he's not going to do some cliched, overdone thing such as kill Alpha within a few issues, or kill Peter and replace him with a sidekick (there's no way they kill Peter Parker off -- even temporarily -- in the main Marvel Universe. Not when they just had a major movie bringing in new readers). And funny, if they turn Alpha into a villain -- with that artwork and design --- he already looks like Syndrome from The Incredibles.

Also, sorry to even waste space on this, but.......

@Srsly_nerdy First of all --- there is nothing on earth more boring than someone on a website message board posting judgmental lectures on grammar. Secondly, and more importantly, if you're going to lecture the article writer on grammar errors and technical writing style......PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE......make sure that your own one-paragraph message (about proofreading, no less) is not absolutely littered with grammatical mistakes and spelling errors. Just so you're aware:

a) The word "proofread" is NOT two words

b) Spider-Man is two words with a hyphen between them (He's a man-spider. It's not his last name. He's not Peter Spiderman)

c) The word "sidekick" is NOT two words

d) Your second sentence is just a grammatical nightmare and an incomplete sentence

e) The word "especially" is not spelled "expecially"

f) The name Maguire has an "e" at the end of it

All those errors...contained in just a one-paragraph post. Now, very few people reading this thread actually care about whether or not the average board poster has some errors contained within his or her post -- but Great Gwen Stacy's Ghost, man -- you were acting like the grammar police. Methinks you should mind your own self, first and foremost. Ugh.
