As precarious as the setting was for the film, the comic book was atrocious. Millar wanted to make some political commentary and used established characters as his mouthpieces. Once he realized there was backlash, he just said he wanted to write a series about "heroes fighting each other."
@magian: I would say I prefer Babylonia to Camelot, but it was a really well crafted story. My issues with it are minor. Is Bleach the reason, or the excuse? Maybe you've hit a wall due to Camelot's difficulty. :P
I just think there is a lack of internal consistency to the designs. It doesn't trouble me too much, nor do I think it will prevent from liking that story, though.
IIRC I have watched the first two episodes - I never continued. Stone Ocean should take a few more years.
@magian: I finished Camelot days ago, it's probably the Singularity I completed the fastest, Fuyuki excluded. I prefer the human forms of the gods in LB5.2, truth be told. The futuristic mecha designs are not exactly my cup of tea or in line with some of the initial designs of other Greek Servants like Medea or Heracles.
I agree Rohan is probably not the idea protagonist but he is sufficiently entertaining. And it will take a while until Stone Ocean is released, so it makes for a good interlude.
I found Soule's run to be atrocious, with the terrible writing and OoC moments concealed by beautiful art.
Gillen's run was sheer brilliance, but he kept having to deal with crossovers, especially AvX - to his credit, he handled it deftly and with respect. His take on Sinister is so good that Hickman basically copy-pasted it going forward.
@morpheus_: Thats called inconsistency my friend,Marvel suffers from this too. When a NYPD Detective beat Daredevil forgot his name but he had no fighting style other than boxing which is worse when you think about it since Alfred was trained by the M16 or Secret Intelligence Service .
We are not friends.
It is no inconsistency because Hush is incompetent in h2h combat. His only good feats pertain to gunplay which is pointless against a bullet timer who habitually humiliates a marksman superior to anyone in post-Crisis or N52/Rebirth DC in Bullseye.
Are you trolling on Daredevil losing to a detective? That is no inconsistency, that particular version of Matt is just terrible due to chronic injuries that led to his complete decline, so even very poor fighters can engage him easily. Since battles forum rules are not retroactive (which you would have known if you had spent 5 minutes reading them), and this thread is from 4 years ago, Daredevil was not injured, so you are discussing a version of the character that was not even in play when this thread was created.
Add something of importance or don't post. I won't say it again.
@brucerogers: Hush is a expert hand to hand combatant and is in peak human condition he is described just as smart as batman .His greatest asset is able to think like his opponents .Fun Fact this skill Batman has picked from Tommy Elliot
Another fun fact, Hush is such an expert combatant that he got beaten in CQC by Alfred Pennyworth.
