Things Fall Apart 0

When Waid took over Daredevil, he promised, via Matt Murdock, that he would "stop the craziness". This was a tall order; DD's seminole moments are inextricably linked to mental illness, both his own and his villains (if you want a reminder, check out Daredevil Reborn). After the Shadowland event, though, Waid's lucidity, along with the clean, warm art of Samnee was a welcome breath of fresh air. The Real DD 0

Daredevil #12 is a perfect example of why Waid's Matt Murdock is as interesting a character as DD. In previous sagas, Murdock's normal concerns are swallowed up by the latest DD crisis of conscience. In this issue, however, we see Matt Murdock in two specifically human struggles. The first is a date with a babe, in this case the beautiful (and also really, really, insensitive?) oMEHga effect 0

As much as it pains me to say it about a DD comic, this read is not worth it. The plot progression, between the prelude to the Omega Effect (DD 10.1) is next to nil. Before the Omega Effect, Daredevil had the drive and was on the defensive against all of Megacrime. Now, Daredevil has the drive and is on the defensive against all of Megacrime.
