This is a great new comic book title! They should have come up with a comic book title for Black Cat a lang time ago. Why didn't the writers think of this sooner? I just hope this title lasts(Not like the American Son and Jackpot titles)!
Don't you just hate it when you find out that your favorite comic book store is always one issue behind on your favorite comic books. I went to my favorite comic book store the other day and discovered that they don't have the current issue of three of my favorite comic books, and i know they are out because I checked the website! Its just so frustrating not being able to read your favorite comics. Meanwhile, other comic book fans are writing reviews on how great that issue was and i never know because I don't have that issue!
I thought the Grim Hunt story arc was much too grim! The whole story kind of creeped me out. I mean, killing off characters like Mattie Franklin and Madame Webb, the bizarre resurrection ritual, the whole thing about Arachne getting Madame Webb's powers, and the extreme savagrery and violence that is uncharacteristic of Spider-Man. It was just much too spooky for my tastes. The whole thing with the zombified version of Ezekiel and the fact thaat they impaled Kaine with a spear while he was dressed as Spider-man was just to eerie for me. And was it really necessary for Spider-Man to scar up Sasha Kravinoff's face so badly? I know she orchestrated the deaths of Mattie Franklin and Madame Webb, and tried to kill his friends Arana and Arachne, but, come one! And I still don't get how Mysterio, Electro, and Chameleon were involved in this whole thing. I think the whole Kravinoff family belongs in prison or in an insane asylum. Bottom line is, this story vas much to creepy, eerie, and grim for my tastes. Even a few of the covers of The Grim Hunt story arc were creepy! YIKES!
What was he thinking?! Why couldn't Spider-Man find another way to save Aunt May, instead of being a big bonehead, and sacrificing his marriage to Mary Jane to a creep like Mephisto? And better still, why did he have to reveal his secret identity to everyone in the first place? That is what put his family in danger to begin with! He knew that would happen before he did it! That was one of the biggest, dumbest mistakes he has made since the Uncle Ben thing! And making a deal with Mephisto just made it worse! Lately, Spider-Man has been making some big mistakes: Revealing his secret identity, Making a deal with Mephisto which caused him to lose his marriage, and the one night stand with Michele Gonzales. None of this nonsense would have happened if Peter Parker had just used his brain!
Marvel has been killing of too many characters lately. First, they kill off Nightcrawler. Then, they kill of Mattie Franklin and Madame Webb. I mean, who else are they going to kill off. Its time for them to stop before there aren't any characters left to route for. So in conclusion, I say: "STOP KILLING OFF CHARACTERS!"
Carnage is coming back in October of this year. Carnage is a villian people love to hate(Hey, even Venom hates him and he is related to him). I wonder who they are going to have as the new host of the Carnage symbiote? It probably won't matter. The symbiote has absorbed so much of Kasady's personality that it will probably overwhelm the new host and completely take over the host's body. Whatever way they do it its going to be awesome!
I can't believe that the killed Mattie Franklin, Madame Webb, and Kaine in this storyline. Also, the whole thing with Vladmir and Sergi Kravinoff being brought back to life, Arachne getting Madame Webb's powers (in addition to her own of course)Spider-man scaring Sasha Kravinoff's face, its all just too crazy. all I know is that I hope they bring Mattie Franklin, Kaine, and Madame Webb back. Oh, one othe thing, when did Ezekiel get so freakish.
There are allot of simularities between the characters of DC and Marvel Comics, like for example: Joker and Green Goblin, Superman and Captain America, Green Arrow and Hawkeye, just to name a few. That why they did the DC versus Marvel story arc, and the Amalgam Comics. It's just amazing how two writers from two different comic book companies can think of characters with so many simularities. Maybe some of the writers got their ideas for their ideas from the others.
