I was browsing some entries today, and saw this interesting statistics graph on several of them (for example, on Sentry's Page: http://www.comicvine.com/sentry/1454/). I'm curious where the data for these charts comes from. Anyone know?

well, personally I think the Scarlet Spiders are pretty freaking cool. However, I highly doubt they'll actually replace spiderman at any point. You have to look at it from the aspect of Marvel making money. Are they really going to kill of one of the characters that is a big-money franchise on his own? Highly doubtful.
