What was your first comic book "love"?

Alot of comic book collectors like myself have stories about how they got introduced to the fun world of comic books whether they were introduced to the world of comic books by a family member/relative or they were in a place that sold comic books and made a curiosity driven purchase that got them hooked into the world of comic books. But what was your first comic book "love"? What was the first comic book series you started collecting once the world of comic books had you in its clutch (and its fingers in your wallet). For me, my first comic book love was the short lived comic book series "Go Boy 7". What was yours?

Spiderman originally sparked my interest and probably was my first ever comic book. But my first actual collection was both Red Robin and Dark X-men

Ghost Rider. A guy with a flaming skull for a head and drives a motorcycle? That appeals to almost any 6 year old.

X-Men, I remember when I first picked up a comic book, I had watched X-Men: Evolution, and then I saw Jean like

this

So it kinda freaked me out XD

I started with the X-Men after watching TAS. My Dad gave me some of his 80's books "Outback Era" and I was hooked.

NYX series, for Laura, was my first actual comic.. I originally saw her in the cartoons and was mesmerized as a young girl. I was initially disappointed in her comic portrayal (Quesada will do that), but it's pretty much been a love affair ever since.

Superman, Batman and Spider-Man. Yes it's a cliche that the Big 3 are my childhood and all time favourite characters but that's my preference. And that'll probably run into the future as well.

I had an uncle who worked for a magezine distrubuter so I got a lot of cool comics when i was a youngen. but around 7-8 Squadron Supreme was something I fell in love with. As a Kid and pretty much now I always found the more obscure characters at the time and the villains the most intriguing. Comics rule

Fantastic Four and Spider-Man (from the 60s through 80s) got me into comics, and I thought Batman was pretty cool (still do), although along the way, I learned to love Thor (my favorite hero), Wonder Woman, the X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, and many others.

Picsou Magazine

Not this exact issue, but that and Tintin are the first thing I can remember reading all the time when I was a kid.

X-23. I know, the character is kind of new and maybe overrated, but she's the only reason I started collecting comics. I had read comics before, but her series were the ones who made me really like comics.

Contagion? Bah.

Not a great story, but better than anything being put out now. I admittedly got what was probably one of the best issues (the one with Poison Ivy selling her immunity)
