This was definitely the worst event since Fear Itself. I like Jason Aaron but this just wasn't good. It was confusing and Doctor Midas wasn't a very cool villain. It also just feels like a bunch of big changes for characters strung together into an event.
Well Electro was super lame, and now that you mention that horrible Dr. Kafka, well that sucked too. Harry was good, the whole obsession with Peter's parents makes no sense.
As a whole his run has been really entertaining. Ever since the so-called brain trust ended, Spider-Man has been consistently good, and frequently great. His respect for continuity, which wasn't so much contradicted by JMS as it was simply ignored, has had me the whole way. He's managed to take the radically different BND world and tie it together with everything past (including now JMS) in a way where it all feels right now. To me there was a massive disconnect between the JMS Spider-Man, and everything pre-clone saga which no longer exists thanks to Slott. His love for the character is obvious, and resonates strongly with me.
