I like Superior at this point. It's getting better, and I like the concept. I mean, everyone knows Peter will be back someday, so why not just go with the flow until then?

Because according to the Internet going with the flow is wrong and you should feel bad for voicing you're personal opinion if it differs from the opinion of everyone else.

That is very true.

Punisher is the Poor Man Batman of Prep Mastery! Gotta love the guy. Now if only he can get a rematch vs Daken's punk butt with some prep.....

I thought Spider-Man was the poor man's Batman... Also, isn't Daken dead?

Personally I enjoy Superior. If it was any other villain besides Doc Ock, it would be terrible. Doc Ock is similar to Peter in a lot of way though. They both are good with science, both were awkward nerds that were bullied in high school, both had glasses, the main difference between them is that Doc Ock didn't have an Uncle Ben or an Aunt May. By getting Peter's memories, he felt the good life Peter had, and swore to become a good guy. Secondly, Doc Ock isn't with MJ anymore. He ended that because he felt it was wrong. Thirdly, an event where Doc Ock died is not enough, since that event happened before. You know what the worst thing to do to a Spider-Man fan is? OMD. Sins Past. Clone Saga. Those three are so much worse than Superior.

I think the black suit didn't increase his strength, but I think it increased his speed and agility. This is a really awesome thread though. I always thought Peter was stronger than they were letting on. He does hold back so much. I personally think he still holds back against his villains. I think he's a lot smarter than they say too.

Power scale diffrence or not, I still thing Naruto Uzumaki is Spider-Man's anime/manga rival.

I dunno...Naruto's lack of parents, his tenacity to never give up, his ambition to strive to be Hokage, and the overall stealth-focused combat that he and every other ninja use remind me an awful lot of Batman (of course they're very different in a lot of ways too.)

Those reasons actually remind me more of Spider-Man. Naruto was an outcast without parents is like Peter Parker being a lonely science nerd without parents. Naruto is determined to never give up, no matter how beaten up he gets or how much the people of the village hate him, just like how Spider-Man never gives up, always defends the city, even being beaten nearly to death, or directing giant rockets away from the city to save people who hate him. Naruto is a brightly colored ninja and kind of loud, but still uses stealth, just like how Spider-Man is brightly colored and makes jokes, but still uses stealth to sneak up on bad guys. Ninja are supposed to be able to climb up trees, and Spider-Man climbs up walls frequently.

There's some things from the show I like that weren't in the show like Darryl and Meryl, or how Judith has a chance to live now, and how Carol isn't as creepy (she tried to get a threesome with Rick and Lori twice), but there's a lot I don't like how it transitioned from comic to show. Like how Andrea, Lori, and Carl were so much more annoying, Shane survived longer than he should have, they mistrusted Miochene for so long, Rick can barely function now, and more.

come on, put Bats up against someone more of a challenge. Spidey, Daredevil, Human Torch, Night crawler, Deadpool, or Moon Knight!

@consolemaster001: Yeah, Mephisto started out as a Silver Surfer villain, and eventually went on to also being a Ghost Rider villain, an occasional FF villain, Thanos' right hand man, the one keeping Doom's mother's soul, and the one who stole Spidey's marriage.
