A book as in novel, not comic, at least not right away. I can see them turning it into a graphic novel interpretation if the novel does well. Lois & Clark also had a novel but I'm not sure if that came out while the show was still on tv or afterwards.

@nightwing91: That's Superman At Earths End you're thinking of. He's powerless because the ash that resulted from a nuclear meltdown blocked out the sun.

I really think SBP haters over exaggerate how whiny he is, his complaining doesn't even compare to some of the "woah is me" eras that Spider-Man and Daredevil have gone thru. Spider-Man lost Uncle Ben, Gwen Stacy, and for a short time Aunt May. Big deal, 3 people, get over it. Superboy Prime lost his entire world and was stuck living in limbo with a Luthor. Cut the kid some slack. He is a badass, he was a badass in all of his most recent appearances, Sinestro Corps, Countdown, FC Legion of 3 Worlds, and the last arc of pre-reboot Teen Titans.

Well you haven't been missing much, not a whole lot of major characterization points or continuity to catch up on in Daniel Way's run. It's been nothing but lame jokes and uneventfulness. I would say start at issue #45 and here's what you need to know going in, there is a psychiatrist who is obsessed with Deadpool and totally batshit crazy, so she's collected all of the body parts Deadpool has lost in battle from swords and explosions and sewn together her own Frankenstein's monster version of Deadpool who is known as Evil Deadpool. And that should get you into issue #45. I would recommend picking up Uncanny X-FORCE if you haven't been, because that is the best interpretation of Deadpool out there. Also you need to know that Deadpool can't die, not because of his healing factor, which does help, but because he has been cursed by Thanos to live forever. Thanos cursed him with immortality so that Deadpool could never be with Death, who both Thanos and Deadpool love, but Death loves Deadpool, so out of jealousy Thanos vowed to keep them apart. Now whether Marvel will acknowledge or address that curse in the upcoming "Death of Deadpool" arc remains to be seen. Hope that helps.

Why not? He has a lot of history with the Flash family, which is the cause of Flashpoint and the reboot. I don't see why he wouldn't have a place, he is a product of the multi-verse which is in fact still intact. And as someone who has been able to hope around in the multi-verse I can see him remembering how the DC Universe used to be, and see this as the heroes failing once again, especially with his past run-ins with the Flash family I can see him really wanting to go after Barry for ruining all those years of continuity in his comic books. I mean he is written as a parallel to the ultimate fanboy, and a lot of DC fanboys hate the relaunch for all of the lost continuity (I am one of the few long time DC fans who are over it :P ) and I can see him really being pissed that his comic collection and complete runs are now moot thanks to the reboot caused by the Flash.

I think its hard to give a fair comparison because its like comparing apples to oranges, the silver age era and modern/bronze era are written completely different. Silver Age Superman was written way too powerful because little thought was given to what implications continuity-wise those power levels and his actions could lead to. They were never really written by the same writer or in the same era so its hard to compare their power levels. It'd be like comparing a hall of fame baseball player from the 1920's to one nowadays, really can't gauge it on that alone. I think SBP's suit definitely increases his power, and we saw that it took both Kal-El and (a very aged) Kal-L to stop him. There really is no fair way to compare them. Silver Age Supes did some ridiculously powerful things, but ION is supposed to be the most powerful being in the Universe and SBP kicked the shit out of him. So the arguement can go both ways :P

I would say it definitely has to be Connor, he hates the entire Teen Titans but I think that spawns out of them being Connor's teammates and friends. I don not agree with the statement that he is terrified of Bart, I think he hates the Flash family and fears them as a whole but is not afraid of any of them individually. I mean he killed 130+ Green Lanterns, I don't think he is afraid of any one particular being. I think his hatred for Connor is really what caused his fall into villainy, here he is, a true Superboy, the last true Superboy from a destroyed Multiverse, stuck in limbo with everyone from his life gone, watching the heroes from the last remaining DC earth die and be corrupted, and there is a clone made in a test tube sporting his name and symbol. That hate and jealous is what led to his actions in Infinite Crisis and everything since. He hates Connor for having his name and getting to live the life of a hero when he was made, not born to be Superboy. Powerwise I don't think he has an equal, it took 2 Supermen to stop him, and he mopped the floor with Sodam Yat. He is a badass.
