Some time around 18 years ago a young Shaolin Monk named Lu Yan met a young lady from Wu Tang named Zhao Chi-Yu and it was love at first sight. Romantic, right? Yeah well, like other love stories, it didn't end well. You see their love was totally against the rules, and to complicate matters even more, it wasn't long before Chi-Yu told Lu Yan she was pregnant. For Lu Yan that meant he'd never be a master monk but for Chi-Yu that meant she'd become a mother, that was actually something she didn't mind at all. So, 9 months later Chi-Yu gives birth to a beautiful baby girl ......"Aw" ......but she was still a woman under Wu Tang though so she had to give her baby up. Sad, huh? Mhm, but rather than going for adoption, Chi-Yu had her daughter sent to Japan to attend school at the Kashima Arts Institute. There her daughter wouldn't have to live with adopted parents since the school provided dormitories and food.
Okay so that's how we got Mei, the girl you see in that picture to the right. Now, at the Kashima Art Institute Mei was assigned to a dorm room with another exchange-student named Serena Hansen. At first the two girls didn't get along, in fact, they hated each other right from the start; but one day Serena was attacked on the way to class by other students and Mei helped her fight them off. Ever since then the two have been friends...well, not exactly, but they've had each other's backs since then and that's good enough, I suppose.
- Powers: Chi Kung Adept
- Weaknesses: Magic & Energy
- Skills: Martial Arts, acrobatics and grapple fighting
- Age: 16
- Height: 5'2''
- Weight: 112 lb
For some strange reason Mei seems to have inherited her parents' abilities to manipulate Chi Kung; and coupled with her natural understanding is the advanced chi kung courses she takes at the Kashima Art Institute. With her level of chi kung mastery she is able to deal and even absorb some serious damage. Each punch can cripple, crush and break almost anything; and with Tai Chi she can catch force and energy then use it as her own or to enhance her physical attributes; regardless of the fact that she's practically just a regular human girl. At the Kashima Art Institute Mei also learned various types of martial arts and gymnastics, making her a well rounded fighter but she prefers to use her fists.

Mei performs a sequence of graceful hand motions and dance-like steps to build up inner chi. To get better results, Mei incorporates controlled breathing techniques to capture chi from the environment. She does this to fortify her defenses to physical damage, magic and energy.
Fortify Art of The Body
A protective chi kung barrier that glides along the exterior of her entire body. This barrier absorbs most of the kinetic force her body receives from an opponent's attacks, softening the damage done.
Fortify Art of The Mind
A protective barrier placed over the mind to guard from mental attacks.
Fortify Art of The Spirit
A chi kung barrier over the soul to protect it.
Fortify Art of Yang
A barrier to absorb magic and energy. May prevent others from attacking her internally as well.
Black Tortoise Armor (***Mei has yet to learn this technique***)
The Black Tortoise Armor is a more advanced version of body and yang. This barrier incorporates yin and yang energy and may be used to divert powerful physical attacks and magic / energy.

Mei can focus chi kung into her finger tips and send powerful energy shocks into her opponent with a touch or release them as shots from a distance.
Shi Zhao Art of Ghosts
With a poking motion, Mei releases bursts of chi kung energy at her opponent, which drain their life force / soul. Quite useful against a stronger opponent as it may wear them down. Against a normal human, however, this is devastating and can knock them out or even kill them. This attack may bypass barriers and force fields.
Shi Zhao Art of The Sun
Similar to the art of ghosts but is directed to the body with more emphasis on nerve damage. This attack may bypass barriers and force fields.

Mei has learned a plethora of Kung Fu disciplines at the Kashima Art Institute. The following is a list of what she favors most.
Frolic of a Crane (Offensive)
Mei takes a low stance with one leg bent and the other extended forward while holding her arms out high to her sides as if they are wings. In this stance Mei will generally attack with quick bursts of slaps, chops, kicks and nerve attacks but may punch as well.
Boundless Fists of a Typhoon (Offensive & Defensive)
Mei turns her back on her opponent with her head turned slightly to keep an eye on their movements. From this stance Mei can deliver flurries of backhands and backfists along with powerful kicks and flip attacks.
Constant Flow (Offensive)
This particular discipline is basically chi kung unleashed. There is no particular stance associated with it as it consists mostly of haymaker punches and wild kicks. With constant flow, each attack packs an immense amount of chi kung behind it, allowing Mei to compete with the more powerful foes. Mei has the potential to crumble stone, break metals and even shatter barriers and force fields.

Light Art of Jade
Mei can slightly control and ride the currents of chi kung, granting her the ability to move swiftly or fly.
Steps of Heaven and Earth
A healing warm up Mei performs, similar to the fortitude arts, to revitalize herself. She may use this during combat.
Sword of Heaven and Earth
The sword of heaven and earth is made purely of chi energy and all followers of Wu Tang are taught how to manifest this sword, with each student creating their own unique version of it.
The sword is very powerful. In fact, the technique was originally developed by the Chinese Goddess, Nuwa, and she had used the sword to ward off demons and evil spirits.
In order for Mei to manifest her sword, she performs a ritualistic exercise, very similar to the exercises of the fortitude arts, to gather chi.
The sword, being energy, is capable of launching energy beams and waves at an opponent. It may also deflect energy and magic.
