I mean COME ON MARVEL!!! this dude is tapping the shit out of these hot chicks and at one point, he was dating two chicks at the same time. i was a nerd and i never even got close to girls as hot as these. Truly, peter parker is the ladies man.

So what do you guys think, does a so called "nerd" dating chicks as hot as these seem plausible or is this just comic book logic?

Well I still think he is a nerd. A lucky bastard one. Lol.

Apparently he's a nerd who's successful with the ladies.

Well, Girls love Spidey...

being a genius or a nerd doesn't always equal socially inept. In fact Parker is a very likable guy with a great sense of humor.

I think it's consolation for all the crap Marvel put's him through on a regular basis.

His current " lucky " streak and peoples confusion, the rest aside sort of confuses me. Though I know many said they didn't read BND and hated it (?). It's rather obvious when you think about. Suddenly he's the object of desire, and having less problems with sex. Suddenly he is accepted by the public, and by other supers. Suddenly he's successful. Suddenly his family is safe. It seems to me as if his deal with the devil is paying off in full. I'm certain he'll leave to regret it when that contract folds. As for MJ and Gwen, it's who a person is on the inside friend. In enough ways, they are just like Peter. (Black Cat is not attracted to Peter FYI, she's attracted to Spider-man, or more what he represents and to her self, and is repulsed by Peter)

To be honest they only had Carol have a crush on him so that she could appear in his book and get some more facetime.

He's both a nerd and a ladies man. A nerd is just someone who likes something like math, science, comics, video games, or something like that. If he was a dork, then he wouldn't be a ladies man, dorks are more of the loner socially inept outcasts.

A dork is the foreskin of a whale's penis.

Considering that nerds originated from Dr. Seuss, I can see how his words might attract the ladies. It just brings to mind all of the generic girls Waldo must sift through on a daily basis.

Nerds might finish last, but they finish the best.

Posted by darthfury78

Spidey will never be the ladies man as long as Dan Slott is the writer of Amazing Spider-Man.

I mean to say that Peter Parker won't be in a relationship with a female superhero like Black Cat, Ms. Marvel, or Spider-Woman. Here is a quote that I found regarding Dan Slott's view on the subject.

I know it's a favorite subject of yours. But, honestly, Peter Parker hooking up w/ a super hero just isn't going to happen-- same for a character that's deeply entrenched in another book/universe/dimension's continuity. The main reasons are (though I know you don't agree...)

1. It takes something out of the soap opera column of Peter Parker's life-- and puts it onto the Spider-Man side.

Part of the fun of a monthly Spider-Man title is watching the juxtaposition of Peter's normal life and his Spider-Man life. If you borrow such a big piece from the Peter-side and place it on the Spidey-side, you really don't leave that much for Peter to do.

2. It makes Spidey's super hero life a little easier too-- by having such easy, quick access to another hero.

3. Other continuities/dimensions/titles having such a large effect on Peter Parker's personal life is, at times, a little to "inside baseball" and intimidating to both new readers and fans who JUST want to read about Spidey in his own book.

While a super villain/super hero romance might be a fun shake up in the short term-- trust me-- you are NOT going to see a relationship like that happening as an ongoing status quo.

@ Darthfury Then there is absolutely no reason for me to read Spiderman anymore.

Nerd is not synonymous with loser. Peter struck out with girls because he was shy and withdrawn. Becoming Spider-man helped Pete come out of his shell and allowed women to see what an amazing guy he is

That's pretty much it. Before getting Spider powers Peter was an awkward Nerd. Afterwards, his confidence shot through the roof.

@spideyfan69: So the only reason you have been reading spidey was because he was dating female superheroes? Not because he is an awesome, funny character where you can relate to his problems and personality or you can enjoy several awesome adventures due to the variety of his villains???

Besides, i have read that quote from Dan before and i totally agree with it. It makes a lot of sense. Of course that's just an opinion, but even if you don't like the idea of not dating fame superheroes, it doesn't sound as a decent excuse of stopping reading spidey, since dating other superheroes isn't even that important. And judging by your name, you must really like spidey.

But of course, it's your choice anyway. I was just stating my opinion.

While I feel that there is nothing wrong with Spider-Man dating a female superhero, it doesn't mean that he's going to have a serious relationship with them. I feel that dating a female superhero(out of costume) provides a glimpse into their personal live outside of crimefighting. For example, it would be cool to see Peter Parker and Jennifer Walters(human form) on a date because it provide some interesting revelations about them as they get to know the other. If Jennifer got to know Peter Parker, I could see her becoming fast friends with him.

With regards to Dan Slott's statement, I agree that Spidey should engage in a serious relationship with either of them because it would be nothing more than another Carlie Cooper moment. Any relationship that Spidey has with a female superhero should be kept at the mutual friends level, which mean no Friends with Benefits.

Nevertheless, what Dan Slott might not like regarding Spidey's relationship with a female superhero, another writer doesn't have to agree with. Thus, in a team-up story with heroines that he's close friends with, why can't he hang out with them in the background? If the heroine gets to know Peter Parker in the same manner as Carol Danvers. it provides a friendly chemistry that might rival his relationship with The Black Cat while he was still married to Mary Jane. Even Silver Sable is defending his character.

@darthfury78: What you've just said, isn't something that i wouldn't like to see happening but i don't have a problem with Dan's thoughts either. For me, spidey dating female superheroes or just becoming good friends with them isn't something that really matters to me when i read spidey comics. Of course it could be fun, but not that important. So even though i agree in most of your points, i still like Dan's opinion as well!

Personally, I would rather have a good writer to simply do very good Spidey stories. As for the superheroines, I simply wanted to see some diversity beyond the Black Cat because I am tired of seeing her as the only other love interest for Spidey. Thus, I felt an expansion of a total of 6 heroines(who are interested in Spidey) would give a writer a choice to do a team-up story of which Peter and the heroine are close friends. This way, there are no conflicts because no one person will stand out as a potential love interest for Spidey. And the diversification will not cause another writer who is assigned to the Spidey title to go ahead and scrap that relationship because it's only a mutual friendship. For example, if a writer isn't interested with The Black Cat, but is interested with using The She-Hulk, he's free to do so because it is not a committed relationship. I personally feel that Ms, Marvel, Silver Sable, Spider-Woman, and The She-Hulk all have strong feelings for Spider-Man on a mutual level. While Dan isn't interested in the idea, I can't why another talented writer wouldn't want to take advantage of the idea of Peter Parker on a date with Jennifer Walters(her human form) or Jessica Drew (out of costume), for example? It gives the readers a glimpse into a side of their character that we rarely ever see. A good example was Ms. Marvel and Peter talking about Mystique while Steve Rogers and Peter talked their childhood passions. Those are the stuff that makes the team-ups adventures appealing because you get to see the friendships develop over a period of time.

I agree that the relationship with a superheroine should not develop into a serious romantic relationship because once the writer who initiate it leaves the Spider-Man title, someone else who isn't interested with that pairing will simply tear it apart, as it was done to The Black Cat and Spider-Man's relationship in the mid-1980's when Roger Stein initiated the relationship when he wrote the ASM. But he left(to work on The Avengers) before he had to chance to established the foundation of where Felicia would pop in and out of Peter's life to go on an exotic adventure and Mary Jane to appear in his life thereafter like a cycle between two women every once in awhile.

@darthfury78: Well, the team-up thing you are talking about isn't really something we could not see Dan writing. I even think that i saw him stating that he could have a team up between spidey and she hulk( since he used to be a writer of her title ). But a team-up that would result in a really good friendship isn't the same as dating, so we might expect something like that from Dan.

I don't expect for Dan to ever do a date between Peter Parker and Jennifer Walters. It would be cool to see some other writer to elevate Peter and Jenn's relationship to the level of them dating in the background. I feel that Jenn and Peter have a lot in common as he does with Carol Danvers. Thus a mutual relationship with them out of costume is possible. It doesn't mean that a writer couldn't explore that idea. I am sure if he could, Dan would not have allowed the date between Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel to happen when Stephen Wacker suggested the idea. And for that matter, he would certainly would love to retcon Spider-Man costume relationship with the Black Cat as if it never happened. Thus, Spidey would never have had a romantic relationship with a superheroine to begin with. Why do you think that the following Spider-Man cover was placed on Winter Soldier #2 instead of the Amazing Spider-Man?

While the She-Hulk x Spider-Man have a working relationship, they do not have a mutual friendship. And in order for a mutual friendship to be established, Jennifer must have the opportunity to know that Spider-Man is Peter Parker because it's the first step towards creating a bond of trust for the other. In addition, the opportunity for them to get to know each other can only occur with Jenn x Peter agreeing to go on a date together. If Jenn and Peter get to know each other very well, a genuine relationship could be achieved between them.
