Injustice 2: My Dream Line-Up

Injustice: Gods Among Us was a fun game that pitted DC heroes and villains against other heroes and villains, either in support of or in rebellion against a global dictatorship run by Superman, driven to extreme measures by the machinations of The Joker. There has been talk of a sequel and, if there is, they would surely expand the roster of playable characters. These are the characters I believe should be available. Some are from the original game, some are new. Some obvious, some... not.

A plot? Well, who knows. Perhaps the Superman of the alternate reality finds an ally within the Phantom Zone who helps create a bridge to the mainstream reality, bringing the conflict to "our" world. I don't know, I'm not a writer.

  • King of Atlantis. Armed with a powerful trident and the ability to control sea life.

  • God of War and long time nemesis of Wonder Woman. He feeds off conflict.

  • A world class fighter and tactical genius who augments his strength with the drug Venom. DLC could include the Dark Knight Rises Bane skin.

  • The Flash, the Scarlet Speedster, the Fastest Man Alive.

  • The Caped Crusader of Gotham City. Bruce Wayne witnessed his parents' murder and became a vigilante of the night. DLC skin includes the Batman Beyond skin.

  • When he yells "Shazam" to the heavens, he becomes Shazam, a powerful superhero with incredible strength.

  • Shazam's nemesis, an anti-hero and ruler of Kahndaq.

  • A new addition. The girlfriend of Green Arrow, she is one of the most proficient martial artists in the DC Universe, and is armed with a debilitating Canary Cry.

  • A new addition. Aquaman's arch nemesis, he shoots energy beams from the laser in his helmet, alongside other weapons in his suit.

  • A new addition. Teenager Jaime Reyes is powered by an alien scarab beetle, which forms a battle suit and arms him with high-powered alien weapons and gadgetry. DLC includes the Ted Kord as Blue Beetle skin.

  • A new addition. One of Superman's greatest enemies, he is an extraterrestrial android with twelfth-level intellect, and is armed with telepathy, telekinesis, and a force-field belt. He can also shrink his enemies.

  • A new addition. replacing the DLC extra "Barbara Gordon / Batgirl". I figure Barbara is Oracle for this game, so to fill the Batgirl role, why not Cass? Perhaps have Stephanie Brown feature as a DLC costume.

  • Selina Kyle, the infamous cat burglar who terrorised Gotham City, and sometimes protector of the innocent. DLC includes her old-school purple costume, and the Batman Returns costume.

  • A new addition. One of Wonder Woman's oldest enemies, Barbara Minerva became the host of a Cheetah persona, granting her superhuman speed and animalistic abilities.

  • Victor Stone lost most of his body in an accident, but was augmented with robotic parts, giving him access to weaponry.

  • The ruler of Apokolips, Darkseid is immensely powerful. Previously exclusive to iOS and Android for Injustice 1.

  • Slade Wilson, the Terminator, a mercenary and assassin with advanced healing and martial arts and weapons prowess.

  • Formerly Robin, Batman's sidekick, now Nightwing, protector of Gotham City and Bludhaven.

  • A new addition. When he wears the Helmet of Nabu, he becomes host to Nabu's spirit and becomes Doctor Fate, possessing incredibly magical abilities.

  • A near invulnerable weapon born on ancient Krypton, Doomsday is incredibly strong and able to survive almost anything.

  • Previously DLC. Zod is a warlord from Krypton, and possesses all of Superman's abilities, with none of his moral weaknesses.

  • A new addition. Hailing from Gorilla City, the talking ape is an attempted conqueror, with genius intellect, superhuman strength, and psionic powers.

  • The Emerald Archer of Star City, and boyfriend of Black Canary. DLC includes the Stephen Amell as Arrow skin.

  • The greatest of all Green Lanterns. DLC includes character skins for John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Simon Baz, and Guy Gardner.

  • The Joker's psychotic but lovable girlfriend. DLC includes her classic costume.

  • The soulmate of Hawkman, constantly reunited with him over various reincarnations.

  • The Clown Prince of Crime.

  • Blessed (or cursed) with the power of cryokinesis.

  • Superman's greatest enemy, a business magnate and technological genius bent on destroying the Kryptonian, armed with a battle suit.

  • Previously DLC. An alien mercenary and bounty hunter. Probably in his classic biker form, but the newer look could be a DLC costume.

  • The last Martian, a powerful shapeshifter and telepath. He was previously DLC only but is a powerhouse and should be front and centre.

  • A new addition. Pamela Isley has the ability to control plant life and is blessed with a poisonous kiss.

  • Rachel Roth is daughter of the demon Trigon and possesses all of his magical abilities.

  • Thaal Sinestro was the greatest Green Lantern until he turned evil, and became leader of the Sinestro Corps.

  • Cyrus Gold was murdered and dumped in a swamp. Then he came back to life and became a lumbering invincible giant.

  • A new addition. Courtney Whitmore is a trained gymnast and kickboxer, armed with the cosmic converter belt (gives her strength, speed, stamina, the ability to project "shooting stars") and the cosmic staff (lets her fly). Could DLC include the Jack Knight Starman, perhaps?

  • The Man of Steel, the Last Son of Krypton. Or, if the alternate reality version, a power mad dictator who went mad after losing Lois.

  • A new addition. Mari Jiwe McCabe possesses a totem that allows her to mimic the abilities of any animal that has lived on Earth.

  • Diana, the Princess of Themyscira, is a strong, beautiful and fierce Amazon warrior, and one of DC's premier superheroes.

  • Previously DLC only. A homo magi, she can cast a multitude of spells as long as she recites the incarnation backwards.
