Mlog?

Hi again, CV. I have decided to refer to my blog as my "mlog." I am not going for originality here.
A few quick things:
I have frequented this website for a little over three years now. One can't fathom how much "smarter" this place has made me. It's also made me realize that no one likes a Negative Nancy--the guys that always trash forums. Today, I am officially a member. I appreciated the applause. It was a good touch. Occasionally I'll attempt to better the Superman-related wiki-edits. Unfortunately when I go into that mode, I get nothing done with my real life. Kudos to all those constantly are able to beef up the info.
I have read comic books as long as I can remember. I loved the art in 1988-93, and especially the artists of the time. It wasn’t until I was about 12 or 13 until I started processing the stories. That was it and the package was complete. What really kicked ass was getting a job and not being limited on what I could read month to month. Of course, that can be a good or a bad thing for a kid. Comics can be expensive. We know this.
Superman is my ace. The definition of “larger than life.” The Uncanny X-Men run in at a close second. The X-Men are every comic reader with ADHD’s dream-come-true--especially in the late 80’s following the Siege Perilous.
I read mostly DC currently. Superman books, Batman, GL, JL, Aq; the major titles basically. With Marvel, it’s Uncanny, Amazing, and the Avengers and who can argue and say those books are NOT all you need to read in the Marvel U? That’s all I have read ever since the SIEGE fallout and I haven’t missed a beat aside from reading FEAR ITSELF(ugh).
My FAVORITE title currently? INVINCIBLE. I have every single related issue in one way or another. It started out as the ultimate high-school kid-hero comic and it has evolved into so much more. There are a few minute details in the current storyline I have qualms with. But the book is almost 90 issues in and it’s taken this long for me to question Robert Kirkman’s direction on the title. I’m an idiot for questioning and I know in my head that everything always turns out awesome in this book. If any of you haven’t read Invincible, pick up the Ultimate Collection Vol. 1. The first graphic novel collects only a few issues. The Ult. Coll. V1 collects the first 13 or 14 I think. For Christmas this past year, my girlfriend found and bought me a copy of the first printing of Invincible #1. That’s love, yo.
Now, I am really not sure how I am going to structure these "mlogs." Until I have a chance to touch on something extremely trendy, I know I will probably be the only one reading these. I will have my day, perhaps.
I had only three purchases this week: The #5s of Superman, Aquaman, and Justice League. Aquaman and Justice League remain solid as Johns is giving us new sides of characters as they come into their own. Superman is a mess due to a crapbag DC editing team in careless control of the character as a whole. And I’m not mad at George Perez. I honestly believe that his idea was telling the same kind of Superman stories but with new, different villains and a death wish of sorts. It hasn’t worked. Now, I love what Grant Morrison is doing with Action Comics. I am hopeful Keith Giffen and Dan Jurgens can pull off some of the early 90’s magic. Those old stories are way underrated.
I feel comfortable with this. Round 1 comes to close…
