Can't be a real a real cult without mass suicide. 0

Review of Green Arrow #14.  The Story: Ollie goes after a buyer of one of the mech suits and Batman drops by to help GA.  The Good: I really liked the talk between Ollie and Bats about the cult and how Ollie shouldn't generalize of being crazy because they are a people with beliefs and a sense of self-worth but Ollie counters with nine people just set themselves on fire so he doesn't really care what Batman thinks about it. The good Reverend continues to be a pretty good villain, he seems like a...

Review for X-Factor #222.  The Story: Star and Rahne get back to X-Factor Investigations while the demons stay outside and team-up and Guido is being released from the hospital.  The Awesome: Recently I finally got a copie of Invisible Woman has Vanished tpb and I got to see where the Guido/M relationship started and after rereading all the issue's I own I found the moment at the beginning very sweet and funny and I wonder what will happen next. Also im really liking how PAD is building up Rahne...

They might be giants. No wait, they are giants ! 0

Review of Avengers Academy #16.  The Story: HANK PYM VS VAGUE EVEN MORE SUPERPOWERED ABSORBING MAN IN DUBAI. THIS SUNDAY. BE THERE !  The Good: In this issue I really felt for Pym, trying to stop Creel and not destroy the city or kill any more innocent people. Also him trying to figure out how to defeat him without taking him to the Microverse so Creel won't destroy it. But the way he incapacitate Creel and Titania is clever. But my favorite part of this issue is at the end where Veil save's the...

Review of issue #97 of Teen Titans.  The Story: The team defeats Rankor by throwing a skull at hi...... I mean Solstice blasting him with light energy.  The Good: NIcola Scott delivers good art as always. She gives great detail in all she does on each pages and makes the characters emote very well. There were some good character intereactions in this issue.  The Bad: At first I was interested in Solstice and I still am but this battle against the Rankor didn't really do much with the character, ...

Rampage Total Destruction: Doomsday Edition. 0

Review of Booster Gold #46.   The Story: Doomsday goes on a rampage to Metropolis to kill Superman and Booster is trying to stop him. Also we learn more about the woman who Michael met.   The Good: What I found most interesting is that Doomsday is still the same like in the regular universe. When he isn't controlled by Nate he is charging to Metropolis because thats all he knows and wants to find it. IN a roundabout way he has the same problem as Booster, this isn't what they want in life and bo...

Ah man no Zombie Robot Gustave Eiffel. 0

Review of X-23 #12.  The Story: Our band of heroes have to fight civilians being affected by the trigger scent.  The Good: We do see much more of how Laura wants to become more human with her restraining herself against the civilians and how she got put of the trigger scent. I am wondering who the mysterious women is giving Laura clues and hopefully she will become some sort of rogue. The last scene with Laura and Jubilee on the Eiffel tower just showed how much they have became like sister's in...

Dude, run, NOW ! 0

Review of Moon Knight #3.  The Story: Mark and Echo talk a little and we meet Mark's assistant Buck Lime.  The Good: I like this new assistant already, he doesn't take sh*t from Mark with what he does near the end of the issue and he is SNARKY and I love a character like that. Seeing Mark's interaction with some of his employe's is very funny and does a good job of establishing Mark's new job wich I really hopped Bendis would put at some point. The building up the various villains on the West Co...

Who cares Steve has a movie coming out the 22nd. 0

Review of Fear Itself #4 of 7.   The Story: People are kinda sad about Bucky being maybe dead. Thor is back on Earth, goes to Steve and Tony in order to fight Sin and stuff. Steve kinda but not really wonders about being Captain America and becomes him. And then some kid in Canada gets scared from dead fish in a river and The Serpent gets a power up.    The Good: The scene with going to Odin and drinking as a sacrifice is kinda powerful, since it's named "Démon dans une bouteille" but it kinda...

Good setup but we will never have any pay off. 0

Review of Batman & Robin #25.  The Story: Jason,Dick and Damian go off to save Scarlet but Jason wants to do this alone.  The Good: Judd Winick writes a pitch perfect Jason Todd, but you knew this already. He injects plenty of humour in this issue and the best bit is in the beginning with him commenting about the Batmobile. The planning Jason has made all around Gotham just shows how prepared he is for his mission and I liked the brother-sister relationship between Jason and Scarlet.  The Ba...

WOW I had no idea the U.S Army let this idiots in. 0

Secret Avengers #14.  The Story: Valkyrie joins an army regiment in order to help them fight the nazi mech's.  The Good: What I liked the most about this issue is that we are given Valkyrie background and we see that she may be tough on the outside and she says she never needs men but she did lose a loved one and seeing her yelling at Odin, telling him that we should honor the dead is simply badass. And I still love Eaton art.  The Bad: I found it was interesting that we would follow these soldi...

Evil priest. 0

Green Arrow #13.  The Story: Ollie is asked by SCPD to help them transport a reverend to the airport to transport him to another prison but he escapes because of his metal angels.  The Good: Finally we are getting some good action and Ollie being pro-active and helping people that ask him for help. This new villain seems interesting and he whats good is taht he has good intentions to what he does and doesn't think of himself as a villain, wich is always good. The art by Agustin Padilla is kinda ...

Issue #221 of X-Factor.  The Story: Rahne and Star start running back to the office while being chased by various demons and the ghost of Feral talking to them. Back at the office Layla is putting up magic protection and apparently the person who sent Pip here is somehow involved.  The Good: Everybody knows the routine, great humour between Star and Rahne involving Star's inability to drive car's from issue #206 and him wanting know how a naked pregnant woman looks like and Rahne'S reaction to t...

No Super 8 ad but there's another annoying ad. 0

Issue #96 of Teen Titans.   The Story: Beast Boy and Solstice attacks all of Rankor troops and frees the other members.   The Good: One thing I will sat about Krul's writing is that he knows how to write fight scenes, they are big, they flow nicely from panel to panel and it feels big. I did like the scene on the first page with Solstice reading a book about Rama and really I like this whole fate approach with the character.   The Bad: None of the other team members do much in this issue, they a...

I am disapointed. 0

Issue #1 of 3 of Fear Itself: Deadpool.  The Story: Deadpool installs some anti-Worthy security but that fails and decides to screw around with Walrus.  The Good: There seems to be some interesting set up for the next 2 issues. Bong Dazo's art is spot on for Deadpool.  The Bad: I am disapointed because CHris Hastings to me felt like a perfect writer for Deadpool, he can do absurd storie's with people taking them very seriously (in Dr.Mcninja they had to save the world by playing tennis, so yeah)...

There was a stereotype ? 0

Issue #220 of X-Factor.  The Story: Rahne decide's to go to church and meets Shatterstar along the way and they have a bit of a chat, a run in with a demon and Feral joins them at the end.  The Good: PAD is just greta at making two characters and make it feel like the most natural thing in the world. Star and Rahne needed a good heart to heart and they get a great one and we do see a gentler side with Star and a homeless guy. The demon taking the form of a younger Rahne and killing everybody in ...

Issue #11 of X-23.  The Story: The group gets information about a batch of trigger scent sprya being sold and they go to stop it.  The Good: Im happy to say that Jubilee doesn't bite Laura but only licks some of her blood and see's some pretty disturbing stuff. We get more interection between the two and it is really nice. I especially liked Jubs trying to help Laura by offering to go shoppping and they get some nice interction's. Also what I really like is Laura's subtle sense of humour when it...

I wished the hammer would have fallen on that one annoying guy. 0

Issue #3 of 7 of Fear Itself.  The Story: We got Loki helping Thor escape prison and Odin sending him to Earth with Mjolnir. Bucky,Black Widow and Falcon go kick Nazi mecha butt in D.C. Juggernaut running trough some trains and Absorbing Man destroys Dubai. Hulk destroys Brazil with Noh-Var,Spider-Woman and Ms.Marvel appearing to stop him. And Ben gets a hammer.  The Good: The Asgard stuff still is the most interesting in here. The concept of Asgard being turned into a battle forge is so cool an...

Issue #14.1 of Avengers Academy.   The Story: After failling to stop Ruby Thursday the team decides to go meet another of Osborn's students who as made himself very successful by using his powers to start a company. He shows the AA how other of Osbourn's students are doing but he does have ulterior motives.   The Good: One of the most interesting things in the comic is Mettle questioning his possible future since he says he felt like killing was natural for him when he punched trough Korvac. Al...

Just like Battle of the Smithsonian but cooler. 0

Issue #13 of Secret Avengers, also I haven't actually watched Night at the Musuem 2 only the first one.  The Story: Right after Fear Itself #2 the giant nazi robots are attacking Washington D.C some the SA jump in and Beast goes and meets up with one of his old friends.  The Good: Lincoln Memorial punching nazi mecha, how is that not awesome ? Also all of the other stuff in the Smithsonian come out and fight to wich is awesome. This is a Beast story, wich I am glad since I like Beast a lot and h...

Issue #12 of Green Arrow.  Thew Story: During Swamp Things big fight Ollie went and helped the little people in the midst of it all. Oh and Etrigan is back in Jason's body but that's obviously.  The Good: My favorite moment in this issue is Ollie going out of the forest to help the people since he knows he wouldn't do jack to help the huge fight from Brightest Day #24 so he goes out of the forest to help the city's people. His talk with Galahad was very effective for his moral and I really hope ...

Issue # 10 of X-23.   The Story: Remy and Laura are in France and Laura has been cutting herself so Remy calls in Logan and Jubilee.Laura doesn't like Jubilee since she smells like blood. And the last page is pretty dumb.   The Good: TAkeda is the artist for this issue and it is as good as the previous issues he's done.I find it interesting to give Laura a birthday,it would give her humanity but after all of the child/monster killing in Collision and it is well represented with Laura cutting hers...

Issue #9 of Daken: Dark Wolverine.   The Story: Laura and Daken kill a bunch of Colcord failed experiments who are kidnapped children. The issue ends with Laura and Daken talking about their restraint and Laura and Gambit go off to Paris.   The Good: Still loving Checchetto's art, dark, gritty and after the xplosion I loved how the burnt bodie's of Laura and Daken looks amazing.I really found the talk about restraint to be very interesting and shows the difference between the two characters. What ha...

Issue #219 of X-Factor.   The Story: JJJ spills the beans about SCARS and M,Shatterstar,Rictor,Longshot,Rahne go and find them ina barn where Black Cat was also following Scars.   The Good: Everybody in the team had their moment in this story, either it be for comedy or action they all gave something of value. Here we see Monet as a very caring person for her friends since she leads the attack on SCARS when Madrox told her not to go.Also PAD really put SCARS into a morally gray area with Monet sin...

Issue #44 of Booster Gold.   The Story: Booster and Skeets are flying in Coast City since they want to find Michelle,Rip and Rani because when he opened the fridge the light went all flashy and everything looked old, except the blackboard. In Coast City and the military mistakes him for an Atlantean and he gets shot down a bunch of times and the military send in there biggest weapon.   The Good: This story makes sense as to why it tie's in with Flashpoint since Booster is a time traveler and with...

Batman and Robin #23.   The Story: Jason gets transfered from Arkham to another prison where he kills a bunch of prisonners and when he gets transferred back to Arkham he gets saved by a group of people that look like animals.   The Good: YAY Winick is writing Jason Todd and it's advancing the character. We begin with a really good one sided conversation with Jason and Bruce about how they both came back from the dead but in typical Bruce fashion he gets to the point as to why he wants to keep hi...

Issue #1 of the new Moon Knight series.   The Story: Mark Spector is now a tv producer in L.A and Cap tells him that he has to be the new hero in this city.He confronts Mr.Hyde and finds an Ultron head.   The Good: I found how Bendis told MK's origin in  a clever way and it is a good way to tell his origin to new readers.Alot of the dialogue is very funny and I finally get what people say about Bendis writing with conversations between characters. The angle with Ultron is very interesting.Bendis ...
