@lastactionhero: Why can't Miles come into the fray without Peter dying? A post-Peter Parker world doesn't necessarily mean his death, Marvel could have the ultimate end game of progressing Peter's character on-screen, with the audience watching him grow up, find love, tie the knot and eventually, have little Mayday.
That's probably one of the only instances in which Peter Parker would retire from the role of Spider-Man and not have to die, start a family. Because Peter's responsibilities would switch immediately, and if keeping his family safe and giving his little girl and wife a relatively normal life meant quitting the webs, then Peter would immediately give up being Spider-Man.
Plus, a Peter Parker that has simply hung up the webs would be a huge help to Miles. The kid could simply seek him out for advice, maybe even real help from time to time. And then after Miles' story is over as Spider-Man, perhaps he's started a family just like his predecessor, it'd be Mayday's turn to take up the mantle. Hence, a Spider-Girl movie.
See, no one has to die. In my opinion, if there's anyone in comic books that deserves to live happily ever after, it's Spider-Man.
@punyparker: Don't Marvel usually engage their hired actors in multiple picture contracts? Either between six or nine movies? Because if that's the case, we could see Peter Parker's adventures as Spider-Man for at the very least a decade or so.
yeah that could happen.... after 20 reboots later
i think post secret wars when new comics come out the book titled: The Amazing Spider-man will have Miles as the main Spider-man and Peter as a background supporting character
I'm the ONLY one in here who expressed my scepticism about Peter post Secret Wars....everyone else are either happy with how much attention Miles gets, or that "Peter's married again" which we all, with funcional brains, know that is smoke and mirrors.
yeah there's no way he's staying married, especially since he's gonna be in high school in the movies
