I'm not understanding their insistence on hiding Vision. It's weird...

Because they want to leave it a surprise. The general audience (who have no clue who Vision is) will have their minds blown when they go see the movie.

Peter Parker over Miles Morales all day, every day. We've barely even scratched the surface of Peter Parker stories (and one can argue that we actually haven't seen Peter Parker on the big screen done right yet) so there is no need to bring in Miles Morales until much, much later.

Also the demand for bringing multiple Spidermen is something that should not be done in live action. It works in comics, but it'll take away the focus from the OG Spidey and make him seem less unique. It's different than having two Iron Men (Tony and Rhodey).

@captain13: I think each of the first seasons should cover their origin stories and sere as introductions to the general audience. This'll be the first time Luke Cage, JJ, and Iron Fist have been done in live action.

I'd be down to read this. The Defenders have always seemed to be the Avengers b-team, so re-appropriating the name to a street level thing isn't bad. Especially since Heroes for Hire doesn't really fit.

@captain13: Eh, I don't really see that happening. I think it'll most likely be they get dubbed that after teaming up defend the streets of New York. It also makes sense because it fits in line with Avengers and Guardians.

@daredevil21134: @captain13: I think Daredevil + Luke Cage + Iron Fist + Jessica Jones + Misty Knight + Colleen Wing is a solid team. Misty and Colleen can be the Hawkeye/Black Widow of the group (by serving as supporting roles while the others lead their own franchises). That would be a diverse lineup with good representation for people of color as well as women.

People always say Batman could fit in with Marvel but I don't think so. He's a DC character through and through. He's fine the way he is.

Steve Trevor or Batman. Because both of their dynamics with Diana are so fun.

@martianmanhunterisbetterthancy: I agree, but I still enjoy their version of DD quite a bit. That being said, I'm hoping whoever's put on the book after Waid decides to take it back to a more contemporary crime/noir direction.

I'd be more inclined to say the idea of putting Waid on any such title is what should be shoved up Waid's alley. I don't want this hack anywhere near Luke, Danny or any other character about whom I care. Ship him to DC and let him grind out the Elongated Man.

Hey..... I like Elongated Man.

I think you guys are being a little too harsh on Waid. Yes his Daredevil run sucks, but maybe placed with another character or characters he might be a better fit. Waid has written some good things in the past with Superman and Flash. I think Luke and Danny could use someone like Waid. Bendis claims to be a fan of Luke Cage, but what exactly has he done with the character? Cage hasn't got an ongoing in a long ass time. We haven't had a contemporary Power Man/Iron Fist team up book either. Look at those old issues and look at Mark Waid's writing style. I think he's a perfect fit.
