If they can make Thor and Captain America's costume look cool then they could have easily made Hawkeyes look cool. Just sayin'.

Yup.

Except Cap's costume looked dumb. In the comics, characters are drawn with much larger shoulders, smaller heads, and taller proportions than real people, even perfectly fit people like Chris Evans or Jeremy Renner. In the movie, Cap's head looked to big and his eyes looked to close together. In the comics, they can manipulate everything to make it look "right" even though it's not really realistic.

Why does everyone say The Last Stand was such a bad movie? I didn't think it was a great movie, but I didn't think it was as god awful as many seem to say. I don't want to jack this thread so if someone has a good link to another thread or review expressing the X3 critique I'd appreciate it. I understand the criticisms of Origins: Wolverine, which was a pretty poorly paced movie that had to many threads going on and some really poor representations of characters.

This movie looks like a fine Wolverine movie, but I'm really looking forward to Days of Future Past.

Martian Manhunter is usually portrayed as both wise and understanding. If you're a teenage girl, Wolverine is a very wise and understanding mentor. o_0

Loki ought to be able to with enough prep time given his resources and magical skills, but comic book law would require that Superman stop him at the last minute.

yup, typical Flash fanboy. As soon as it's proven he loses, DURR SPEED STEAL.

Nothing personal really. It's just that I hear that bullshit so often. Sorry if I offended you.

you dont offend me. but you do sound bitter. You havnt proven he loses. i told you that you made a good argument, but its just not good enough. hulk loses. nothing personal, but this is comics. my argument is better than yours. flash wins this due to his speed and abilities and theres nothing hulk can do about it. nobody here is saying hulk is weaker than flash, all im saying is that hulk loses. now dont take it so bad, dont stomp your feet at defeat. its not that serious for you to get angry over. its just the truth

no, it's proven he loses and so you say "speed steal" as a face-saver, like every other Flash fanboy in debates

Flash hardly ever speed steals, and the only example I'm sure you can find is when he used it when he was supremely bloodlusted. An arm-wrestle wouldn't be enough incentive to trigger a speed steal. Flash isn't going to speed steal Hulk in the arm wrestle; it isn't pragmatic reasoning.

And quite frankly, stealing his speed would be clearly against the rules for arm wrestling. But you can think whatever you want, fanboy.

===========

Flash wins. He has pico and femto secon reaction times. he'd try to put his arm down, woudlnt be able to then he would speed steal considering he wants to win this match. then when its over he ALLOWS hulk move again, by GRANTING him his speed again. dont get mad. it just how it goes. unless you can provide a valid argument...u know...like u were doing before you got mad.

Would it truly disrupt your thought process if I informed you that I am not mad? If Flash speed steals it's out of the rules for arm wrestling, and he loses.

sure sounds like youre mad, considering the name calling lol. nobody would even realize flash used it.

Speed steal would be as much cheating as if Hulk crushed Flash's hand before the ref said "go." Flash loses in arm wrestling to the Hulk.

@malonius: He could always dress up and seduce tony

With a year's prep, Bats could transform himself into the hottest honey trap that ever existed.

Prep genius is Batman's superpower, but he's not a technological genius like Iron Man. Batman wouldn't suddenly learn to build a suit better than Tony's, he'd take Tony out in a way he wasn't expecting. Bruce Wayne is really more comparable to Nick Fury than Tony Stark in the Marvel Universe.

Queen and Country (British spy thriller), DMZ (alternative history post-2nd U.S. Civil War), Y: The Last Man (set in the aftermath of an event that kills all but one man on earth), Strangers in Paradise (sit-com/soap opera-ish), The Walking Dead (zombie apocalypse).

You say she doesn't like fantasy elements at all, but there is some really great stuff that's not all stereotypically "Dungeons and Dragons" that I'm sure she would like: Bone, Castle Waiting, Mouse Guard, and the Sandman are all really good books.
