I don't know how I feel about this. This seems liek a regression for a character that has grown past so much in the past few years. Also, it's just not like the character. Cable respects the Avengers. In his time he's actually fought battles with numerous casualties simply to save Cap's shield. He wouldn't just kill them off, or at least not just for his daughter. I know he's a father, but Cable's always made the hard decisions for the greater good. He shot and apparently killed his own son in order to save 1 teammate, I don't think he'd kill Earth's Mightiest Heroes, not even for Hope.

I feel like Bruce Willis isn't too old. Ballparking it I'd say he's probably as old, if not younger than Cable. Also, I feel like Cable and Bruce Willis are perfect fits in terms of Cable's personality, or at least Pre-C&D Cable, a tired soldier fighting a war that there's virtually no chance of winning. The looks may not be an exact match, but I'd be happy to see Willis as my favorite Marvel character any day.
