Huh? I thought that Spider-men was supposed to be a one-off thing; and honestly I'd prefer 616 and Ultimate to stay in their own ways. (Not that I wouldn't love the FF finding out what happened to them, or the X-men or... actually I want that very much...)
I can tell I'm not into this book from the first image; if Escher Girls has taught me anything is that that pose is not natural and with that cape is flown like that, there's no doubt that it is to show off Barbara's "assets"
I never understood why Ben had to die. I mean, sure we didn't need 2 spider-men, but that doesn't mean he had to die. He could've just sit in the background and have a bastard son like in MC2 or something
I'm not from the US so this things mean nothing for me. No worse, this flag thing and the famous photo of war and all that stuff just scream "jingoism" in my Latin American ear.
I wasn't very enthusiastic about the book to begin with, but all this Patriotic Fervor thing they have going is serious turn off; I don't see it going very well overseas (and since the industry is dying they should pay attention to readers overseas)
I don't know much about the Yuuzhan Vong, but everything I've heard about them sounds kind of silly. And the stuff about Palpatine coming back to life in his clones and the thing about Leia and Han's son going to the dark side.....
I dunno this whole thing sounds kind of weird for a movie, or for the people who don't know about the Expanded Universe. Honestly I really hope they do something new, more film-like
